Hey, i was wondering how much our transfer budget is this window ?
To sum up the transfer spending last tree years in PL;
11/12 Rodgers Transfer revenue: 400.000 £ Transfer expenditures: 11.500.000 £
= -11.000.000 £
12/13 Laudrup transfer revenue: 28.500.000 £ Transfer expenditures: 18.000.000 £
= +10.500.000 £
13/(14) Laudrup Transfer revenue: 0 - Transfer expenditures: 21.500.000 £
= -21.500.000 £
Rodgers in PL = 11 mio £ (1 season)
Laudrup in PL= 11 mio £ (1½ season)
In this context Laudrup should have plenty funds available if needed, even though he have spend 21,5 mio £ this window.

And compared to Norwich who we promoted with in 2011; there spending is as followed;

I think it's difficult to say whether there is a number that is there to spend. I'd hope and imagine that the club decide whether a transfer is worth it on merit, rather than allocating Laudrup an amount and saying "here's 10 million cash, do what you like."
It's also worth pointing out that a lot of the transfer revenue at the end of the 2011/2012 season was — wisely, imo — put toward the expansion of the Landore and Fairwood training facilities. That was a one-off, though, and the model won't be designed around selling assets — if it works in our favour, Ã la Joe Allen, then that will be a bonus.
What we spend in this window will probably depend on whether we get Tom Ince or not. I can imagine the board will be much more happy to spend a million or two more to get a homegrown prospect. |  | | |

I agree, but even though the club spend most of the transfer income to improve training facilities, there should be something to spend, but not much.
Its just put last season in another perspective, 9 place, carling cup winner and + 10,5 mio £ in transfer income. How many clubs can do that? :D | | | |

I'm sure the club don't have a set transfer budget as they look at the players as an assets and will only buy the right player if they know that they will be able to sell on at a profit and that ml wants that player |  | | |
