I went up there for the play off game last season, had a great day out with some mates. They were expecting around 1000 for that match and at least doubled it.
On a side note to that day, there were Swans, Cardiff and Newport tops all on display and not a hint of any animosity, plus I could get served a pint in the tiny little bar quicker than I have ever been served in the Liberty?

As a Merthyr boy now living in London, I regret I cannot be there tomorrow evening. I still stay in Merthyr when I come down to Swans matches and the warmth and humour of that scruffy little town can't be beaten. Looking at how well Poole, hungerford, Cirencester & Paulton who all pipped merthyr over the past 2 seasons, have done - the playoffs should be a realistic aim. Let's hope they can get close to 1000 for every home game

Yes I'm a local.
Supported swans 30 years but have always kept a watch on merthyr and watched many games when they were in the conference and won the Welsh cup etc
