I love the way you put that list down and suggest it's like a click of the fingers and it'll all be sorted.

If Corbyn was in we'd have sky high unemployment because the private sector would be decimated.

We wouldn't have the revenues to fund his public sector expansion.

This is always the left wing problem, it's all platitudes we would all like another 50bn spent on NHS, 50 quid min wage etc etc

It's just not easy to actually have these things in reality

He's hopeless, only hanging around so that another left winger is able to take over.

People need to move on from labour now, it's a dead party.

Lol.

Tommy, the problem is Corbyn can offer free unicorns to everyone; cupcakes with sprinkles on.

The problem is it's easy for Corbyn to issue promises that sound really, really good without having to do silly little things like costing them. Save the NHS is the rallying cry. Well the Labour run HS is Wales is really fantastic...

Errm, rubbish Tommy old chap.

It's interesting that the left no longer seem to mention Venezuela these days. I thought that was a socialist paradise? Ok, the odd inconvenient human rights issues occurred but hey ho. Owen Jones in particular used to loved bigging up Venezuela. Ironic given as a gay "journalist" he'd not be a particularly welcome demographic there on several grounds...

Tommy you're a well meaning dreamer.

Look at Venezuala ffs, it's a basket case. Corbyn was lauding Chavez not long ago.

To say everyone is a socialist is laughable as well, many people do actually want to have ambition and get on in life. We don't want the State telling us how to live or to regulate how we live our lives.

If you're a decent person you want to care for those less fortunate etc but that doesn't necessarily mean you believe the State has all the answers, it doesn't.

Bottom line is socialism has been tried everywhere and failed everywhere. When will you realise this, probably never.

Corbyn is unpopular with the public because overall the public is not stupid and realises things have to paid for. That's why he doesn't want power because he'd have to actually implement what he has proposed and it wouldn't be possible.

I believe one should be rewarded on ability and not kept by the state

I was put off by socialism after I became good friends with an east Berliner

There are different types of socialism & hard line socialism isn't a way forward as per this country thousands of mi!es away which has nothing to do with Labours current manifesto .

If you believe cutting social care for the people who need it ,then you lot carry on voting for whoever you vote for.

And yes blue , roickin you are socialists ,if not what ?

I suspect that his long associations with terrorists and anti-Semites probably don't do much for Corbyn's popularity either.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

"Bottom line is socialism has been tried everywhere and failed everywhere. When will you realise this, probably never. "

What aload of rubbish.

Look at countries like Germany, Austria, and the Scandinavian countries.

Socialist countries by a ll counts with state owned utilities and railways, strong trade unions, and fantastic universal health care systems.

Life for an ordinary Joe in those is of a far better quality than their equivalent in the US or UK.

Yet still their economies are in far better shape than the UK or US. Lower deficits, less private and public debt, and some even have trade surpluses ! UK hasn't had one of those since the awful days of Old Labor.

And citing Venezuela as an example of why socialism fails is just as dull as using a country like Somalia or Congo as an example of a country with a low tax take and a small state

Yeh, it's not bad actually. It has its good points and it's bad points.

The difference being of course that the WAG has a finite amount that it can spend, whilst the Weatminister govt can always plug the gaps in times of crisis (although I concede that they have been reluctant to do so with Hunt at the helm).

Blanket statements about the Labour-run NHS in Wales will never give an accurate reflection of what's going on.

There's a lot of bad points. Just people don't want to see them.

Whilst you're right that WAG has a finite amount, let's not forget the Labour run WAG ( the Labour party who routinely peddle "X days to save NHS" ) cut the NHS budget over and above existing cuts, freeing up money to be used elsewhere. No doubt on some useless vanity project here in Cardiff.

Labour stooges like Polly Toynbee scraped the barrel in terms of defending performance - ludicrously claiming at one point there were more hospital deaths in Wales due to Wales having no hospices. She had to backtrack on that one.
