Is he carrying a knock or does he need a rest?
Hasn't been his usual brilliant self (free kick apart) in past 2 games.
Loads of endeavour but not as effective as usual.
Obviously, only a temporary blip in form.

He is carrying a knock
Was surprised he played in the last match
I can see Shelvey having a run

Maybe he is carrying a knock, but when we park the bus as is increasingly the approach Bony doesn't do much running around so the onus for shutting them down seems to fall largely on Siggy.

As a consequence he looks exhausted by 60-70 minutes, although he remains pretty useful in deadball situations as he showed the other week.

Erm, look at the players he was up against yesterday..Fernandinho and Toure, they bossed the midfield for most of it. If you havent got the ball, theres nowt you can do with it!

Hes missing Shelvey too. Neither Ki or Carroll get forward enough to supply him with the ball or play off him. Shelvey does do that.

"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."

Carrying a slight groin strain isn't he? He came off against leicester for that reason. Probably still niggling him. That and the absence of decent possession as mentioned above.

If you can fill the unforgiving minute. With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
