central heating timeswitch question 20:15 - Mar 31 with 654 viewsdickythorpe

Just moved house recently and have had heating on, getting milder now so will turn if off soon. The emt2 timeswitch only has a heating switch not hot water.
When I switch heating to off will the boiler heat water up?
It's got British gas written on it but it's a drayton make originally

So it's got a hot water cylinder? It's not a combi boiler?

Im guessing the water time switch is either a separate device or works just on the boiler?

Normally fitted to combi boilers mate where the hot water just comes on with demand when you open a hot tap so you never turn the hot water off as such, the timer used just to control the heating. Just turn the timer off and the heating should go off but you should still get hot water.
