Just had drawdown from my pension.
Took tax straight away - will take up to six weeks to "assess" and then pay it back.

dont think they have an idea what their doing, had some issues with the a year ago, claiming underpaid tax, they weren't even aware I was paying tax on a works pension! |  | | |

it's crazy.
They know I am entitled to it, I know I'm entitled to it, the pension providers know I'm entitled to it, yet it will take weeks to be "assessed".
On the phone the other day, a guy said that due to Data Protection (after I had gone through security, etc) they couldn't tell me how much the pension provider had paid me.
Crazy, especially as it took me about 20 seconds to sign into my bank account and look at te net payment, take that away from the amount I'd requested and knew exactly hoe much tax I'd paid !
