Bowel movements 03:43 - Nov 28 with 2637 views | NotLoyal | Just had a discussion during some down time regards bowel movements, I'm amazed at the cross section of activity round one table of 5 people. One guy goes about once every two days, looks fit, eats a lot of fibre and loves an orange. I'm. Not sure what is normal anymore.

Once a day is pretty normal I assume, the caffeine is a bowel buster?

Maybe you have IBS? I do and I'm very regular, three times a day within an hour after food, depending on what I eat. I only have to look at a drink and I need to go too. Also, I would say we have 'being full of it' in common.

I had IBS and was recommended to take a product called Pro Bio Live Plus from a company called Lindens and its made a huge difference. My poo has changed from loose odd colour to more solid also my guts don't hurt or rumble like they used to. You get 90 capsules and take 2 at a a time per day

I have had stomach pains and bloating for months. It's improving, but all the tests have proved clear, so it could be IBS | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I had tests for all the nasty stuff as well and that was clear. Doc did give me prescription for some IBS medication but I didn't want to take it so just lived with it. The natural remedy has really made a difference.

I prefer the loose odd colour as opposed to something more solid.

It’s the fibre and inulin helping you there. The inulin is a prebiotic which will encourage a healthier microbiota. The Probiotic in there is a waste of time as won’t reach the lower gut. I am also a bit annoyed the bacterial nomenclature is wrong.

Beetroot is very good for bowel health, is cheap and very tasty. But it can make your pan look like a bloody murder scene afterwards.

Avoid tannic red wine in my case. I don’t Know much about people - but know an awful lot about the chicken gut. Principles around pre and probiotics are more developed in livestock as regulations ‘looser’. Faecal transplants are where we at currently . Seem to have a profound effect on gut health and pathogen exclusion

Yeah faecal transplant...that's where you transplant one piece of crap from a person into another I wonder if there's any money in that could be a nice little earner.
