| News Comment | The Coventry Conference – Report at 14:34:30
Thanks Clive for a great season of match reports, previews and more. When we've had a great result, like against Leeds, I always look forward to reading your take on it. An extra boost after the after the initial feeling of euphoria. Even the reports after a disastrous game bring a little joy in some perverse way. Enjoy your summer. I hope that this optimism we all seem to have goes rewarded for once. |
| News Comment | In the Bleak Midwinter - Report at 16:20:30
Thanks for the usual accurate and well written report Clive. You mentioned "media-friendly spin". There was an interview with Willock on our social media channel before the game asking him if he was looking forward to playing in front of a full house. Why do they make this shit up? It's not the first time either. |
| News Comment | Just that sort of a week - Report at 11:42:44
Thanks for the report Clive, great stuff as always. Another consequence of Sky hoovering up most of our games is that they get removed from the club’s live streaming. Those of us in foreign exile who have paid for a whole season of streamed games are seeing the number of matches available dwindle by the week. The alternative, apart from an extortionate Sky subscription, is often some dodgy streaming site where half of the pitch is obscured by pop-up ads informing of lonely women in the immediate area wishing to make â€contactâ€. Although that in itself could end up being an option during certain games 😀 |
| News Comment | This is getting serious — Signing at 11:35:01
Thanks for a good write up as usual. Always a good sign when supporters of the selling club are gutted to see their player go. I can think as far back as Sinton and as recently as Dickie. Good luck Stefan! |
| News Comment | QPR toast first cup final success since 67 — Report at 17:45:22
Absolutely spot on and hilarious report Clive. What a great win in the bustling metropolis of Watford. Perhaps now Andy Sinton, in his otherwise very knowledgeable commentaries, will stop calling Uncle Albert "Adomo". |
| News Comment | It's that time of year again - Preview at 12:41:54
Taking up where E15Hoop left off. You have to wonder what Bright, Chair, Dieng, Willock, Kakay and others make of being captained by a player who has expressed online support for a "politician" who seems to be the popular choice amongst the Ku Klux Klan. And not a great player to boot. Other options for a captain? Dieng? Dickie? |
| News Comment | Alarm bells ringing after another Barnsley humbling - Report at 07:27:39
Thanks for a spot on report. Regarding Warburton's comment about Bright's "head should be in the right place". Maybe he should use that as a tactical ploy for our players when Albert is swinging in his decent crosses. |
| News Comment | Pleasing all of the people, all of the time - Report at 17:28:03
Thanks for a great season of articles and reports. Sniggering behind my iPad at the breakfast table pre- and postmatch to everyone else's bemusement, have become the norm. Keep up the excellent work. |
| News Comment | Two bald men, one comb - Preview at 17:18:54
The best QPR site by the length of one of our losing streaks. Look forward to reading it every week and is worth a subscription fee to keep it up and running. Hoping that you are still motivated to keep up the excellent work. |
| News Comment | It's been a while - Preview at 07:09:33
First comment since the play-off final, the importance of this game has finally dawned on me. Been meaning to thank you Clive for your continued excellent journalism. If we can pull out a performance as good as the "Swedish-Brazilian pubic hair formation" comment in the last match report we are home and dry. I was in Belgrade for that legendary 4-0 defeat and also on the balloon plane home with the players, a memory I'm still trying to surpress. |
| News Comment | A way to win - report at 09:19:11
First comment this season due to earlier disillusion with the club and a feeling of total apathy. After Saturday nearly everything is forgiven. I get over for a couple of games a season and had become a total jinx to the club. The last victory I had witnessed was the win against Barnsley when Fitz Hall scored a couple back in the middle ages. Friends and relatives begged me to stay away from this one, I was half expecting to be dragged off by customers officers at Stansted on arrival and placed in a detention centre for the weekend. What a game to break the losing streak. My greatest experience as an R's fan. Let's not cock this up again. |
| News Comment | Lacklustre QPR grateful to Green for Yeovil win — report at 07:25:03
Thanks again for keeping us updated. Almost totally reliant on these reports since we dropped out of the premier league, only the odd R's championship game shown here live. Time for a visit soon. I was at the cup game in Yeovil back in the eighties and seem to remember being welcomed into their supporters club bar before the game. The scrumpy made the pitch even more sloped than it usually was. I've always considered Yeovil to be a more charming version of Norwich, they've certainly got a better song which in itself is hardly difficult. |
| News Comment | Mbia heads for the exit as QPR prepare for Swindon visit — preview at 11:02:23
A mate of mine watched the R's train in Dubai as they recharged their batteries/went on the lash before the final push for premiership survival. He reckons that 'Arry screamed until he was blue in the face as he tried to convey a simple move from a dead ball situation to Mbia, without success. Made Diakité seem like a fairly level headed player. |
| News Comment | Taarabt and Remy loaned out, QPR start with two wins — diary at 12:54:37
Sad to see the back of Adel. I hope that he thrives in the Premiership and returns back to W12. For me the spectacular goals, tricks and neat passes have always outweighed the greediness and tantrums. Also felt that he knuckled down well during mid-season whilst many others had completely given up. No comment on the hero worship of Barton. |
| News Comment | The kits are alright at 11:40:44
Agree with some of the above, an extra hoop is definitely needed. And the badge is shite, looks like Briatore found some generic clipart, stuck our name on it and then left us with it. It would be great if we could get The Beano to sponsor the second kit. The third kit would suit my Dad as he's colour blind. |
| News Comment | End of term report — midfielders at 07:34:44
Thanks for that Clive. Tragic what's happened to Faurlin, it would be nice to see him given another chance if he's managed to shake off the after effects of his injury. One of the old school. It doesn't seem as though Redknapp has any time for him though. Spot on about the disaster that was Park. At least some of our pre-season opposition seems to be a bit stronger than it was in the ridiculous brand building friendlies we were involved in last year. |
| News Comment | A lot of quality in the building at 14:21:53
Thanks for all of your articles this past season Clive. Hughes eh? Good at getting jobs, just crap at doing them. The dream scenario would be to beat Stoke in a big cup game or final, that is if Hughes is still in charge by then. |
