Are there any youthful people here?
at 13:17 14 Aug 2019

I’m 28 years young, but reading Darran’s whinging on here over the last few years has aged me at least 10 years, so maybe I’ll identify as 38 from now on.

I wouldn’t be mad at this. Yes it’s a gamble but given the names in the hat they pretty much all are. English youth football seems to be in very good shape in general, and given that we are clearly looking to rely heavily on youngsters again next season he could be an interesting prospect.

The only time I’ve seen/heard him is when he’s been interviewed on talk sport and he’s come across really well, a likeable knowledgable bloke.

The coaching and training methods he’s been exposed to at St George’s Park are bound to top notch and fit in with the style we are trying to continue with post Potter.

Breaking point?
at 18:58 2 Feb 2019

Precisely this is my worry- what is the endgame here, who comes in and with what motive? There is no one “local” at this level we are currently sitting, and we are not atttactice enough for a wealthy investor m. Bleak vs bleak as far is I can see. Hypocritical of me as I want change, but I’m wondering if I’m dreaming of an impossible outcome

Breaking point?
at 17:20 2 Feb 2019

At the Bristol game today and the general performance was depressing to watch. After the shambles on Thursday ,I want to know, A) despite our recent run, is this the straw that breaks the preverbial? And B) how do we galvanise the fans to force genuine change at the highest level?

So because "they" laughed at him, that makes him wrong? So if I sat in a room full of flat earthers and said that the world is round, and they laughed at me, would that make my statement factually incorrect? Let me guess, you think he is harsh on the Iranian regime too?

The Donald is unbelievably refershing in this age of ever increasing left wing lunacy. Keep going Mr P, let them have it.

USA Palestine aid
at 11:24 2 Sep 2018

I’m deluded? Do you think the terrorist origination in control of Palestine puts as much effort into feeding their people as they do in trying to wipe out the Jewish people? I think not.

It’s so easy to point the finger at the US/Israel. Who do you think is safer or more likely to be accepted and live peacefully, a Palestinian in Israel or an Israeli in Palestine- I think we both know the answer, and that should give out a clue as to which side is more inclined towards a peaceful outcome.

As long as the Palestinian people keep voting for, and the majority of the West, keep legitimising terrorist Governments then this is the response many others should be taking. No matter how much whataboutery or Jewish “conspiracies” will be thrown at this, when the elected government of Palestine has it in their charter to eliminate Israel and the Jewish people, I’m not sure what other action could be taken.

Cultural Appropriation
at 20:16 1 May 2018

“Let’s all live alongside one another, share food, traditions music etc” Next breath- “take those dreadlocks out of your hair you racist Nazi whites supremacist, and don’t even think about letting your daughter dress as Moana”

It is total madness, but, interestingly with all the cultural appropriation as with racism nowadays, the perpetually offended and useful idiots that enable them believe it only goes one way. I’ll let you work out which way.

This boils down to Western culture having lost all sense of respect for itself, it’s been beaten out of us, so it’s at the point where it is a game now. People will find anything to be enraged about because they know western culture will not only sit and take it, but encourage it.

Make no mistake I’m not blaming every ‘non westerner’ for this, it is a very small minority who think this way, the bigger problem is the self hating nihilistic ‘westerners’ who seem to lap it up.

Jo Cox's husband

Saint Brendan Cox, and his ilk, who preach from their moral high grounds about how evil everyone else is have usually got a lot to hide themselves. Many of them are very narcissistic people, who only do the work they do for the recognition it gets them. Take the lefty virtue signalling cult with a very large pinch of salt. Watch labour rally around him, and contrast that with their treatment of Toby You g, who said some words they didn’t like.
I am not saying the tragedy of child molestation and sexual abuse is confined to the left wing, it’s obvious endemic to all populations.

Moral Dilemma
at 22:39 30 Jan 2018

With a few more results like that (not too many I know, I’m not a fantasist), and safety, where do we stand on HJ?

I have been vocal in the real and digital world about my dislike for his decisions of late, and the need for change. But, Carlos has had a very solid start all things considered, and, look at Clucas’ performance tonight after the hounding he’s had form many of us, me included. Is there a method to the HJ madness, and will we miss it should he leave at the end of the season?

And in case anyone thinks it, I am not an apologist for him/the board, just wondering how I would feel were he to step down after we potentially manage a great escape and avoid the the drop.

Thoughts?

“What does he do exactly?”
at 14:22 29 Jan 2018

There may very well be something going on behind the scenes/personally with Mesa, but...you’d assume a club the size of Sevilla would have done their due diligence before looking to take him on loan. When you say the words out loud it really hits home how farcicle this is, Swansea city, are paying some of the wages of our own player to go and play for a club the size of Sevilla, whilst we sit at the bottom of the league.

Whether we ridicule the decision now in loaning him, or the decision to have signed him in the first place, the outcome is surely the same, our recruitment process is one big cluster f@£k

Leanne is one cool lady
at 09:57 20 Jan 2018

To everyone wanting longing for a red, left wing revolution, can they name somewhere it’s ever worked? And given the choice, would they live in North or South Korea? East Berlin or West Berlin during the 80’s?
The hard left of this country assume that anyone who doesnt support the social justice/handouts they want to push for are evil. Capitalism has brought much of the world out of poverty, and nothing else. Yes there should be a social safety net, of course there should, but giving people things for free, does not drive growth, I hate to have to point this out.
Leanne Wood is the Sturgeon of this country. They have the mentality of football fans and England is the rival team. Everything is England/Westminster’s fault, they will never admit anything positive no matter what, they are bitter people.

OFAH Racist

It’s 2018, didn’t you get the memo?! I’ll fill you in with the main point anyway.
Everything, yes, everything is racist or “problematic”. If you don’t see colour as the great MLK wanted, you are a racist for not acknowledging the hardships of others or for not offering some kind of reparation for generations gone by. TV, comedy, films are all dying because of this obsession with intersectionality. Only fools and horses is apparently racist, but Netflix champions it’s own show called, wait for it - “Dear White People”.

Stateside Jacks representing at Watford

In the interest of healthy debate, the logic there is slightly flawed. Attributing blame for someone merely living in the same place as someone you disagree with is one thing, and “blaming” someone who follows the same belief system/faith is another. It’s heography versus action/belief. And no I’m not saying all Muslims should be blamed etc etc etc, just thought I would point out that these are two different things. Happy new year btw.

Foreign fans making an enormous effort to come and support our team, bringing flags etc is all positive and should be welcomed with opened arms. To read the comments and see some people essentially blaming them for also being American is one of the most embarassing things I’ve seen on this forum. If those Americans who made the effort are reading this, I hope you had a better welcome in the real world, what a fantastic game you picked to come and see and I hope the rest of your stay in the U.K goes well.

Huw Jenkins - position now untenable
at 10:05 30 Dec 2017

Serious question here- is it financially in Jenkins’ interest to stay amid what appears to be an ever more certain plunge towards relegation, to line his pockets with parachute payment money. I’m just wondering whether the fall in value of his remaining shares would be outweighed by the influx of cash from the league if/when relegated. And if this is the case, does this not explain how he conveniently only feels his position will become truly untenable in the summer.
