I wish I'd kept mine.

Though I did get to meet them in HMV the next day.

Who would have thought they'd go on to be one of the biggest metal bands of all time?

Iron Maiden played the Brangwyn Hall. Anyone else there that night?

aye :-(

the original Blizzard Of Oz album has to be one of the best records of all time. His playing on that was stunning.

I recall Ozzy dragging him around the stage by his hair!!

ha! yes

and the Hell's Angels brawling was quite scary to see close up for my girlfriend and me. We were only 17 and went up on the Derrick's bus (remember those days??) and got drunk on cider we smuggled in :-)

I was lucky enough to see Ozzy's first ever UK live show after he left BS.

It was at Port Vale's ground and he was there with Motorhead, Riot, and a couple of other bands. He was put on the bill after Sabbath pulled out.

Randy Rhoades was absolutely awesome with Ozzy. Another who tragically died young :-(

Areas of Swansea that hold a special
at 09:43 28 Jan 2019

Ynystawe Park in my "courting" days!

Saturday afternoons in the city centre - Market, HMV, Virgin, Derrick's, Good Habit (bit of a hippy) and Peter Jones' cafe for lunch (always cottage pie and chips and green pop)

Pre-match in the Singleton for some Ruddles County and then watch the band there in the night. The Cardiff Arms, The Duke on Wind Street.

Mount Pleasant tech and bunking off to go and see them build parts of the marina.

Forte's at Limeslade Bay for an ice cream.......

4 screws into a joist just inside the loft opening

it folds up to about 1 cubic foot and when you need it you just unfold it down with a pole.

I can try and post some pics up tomorrow or if you PM me your email address I can send them to you?

This literally took me 5 minutes to install.

I've got one of these:

https://www.loftcentre.co.uk/dolle-alufix-concertina-loft-ladder?gclid=Cj0KCQiAp

Very compact, you don't need to reverse the loft opening and it's a doddle to fit.

One caveat though - it's not suitable for the "larger" gentleman' - weight limit of around 100kgs if I recall.

I went there in (I think) 1988 - we won 3-2 and we had a large mob there that day but I don't recall any trouble - not that we saw anyway.

Went again in our promotion season and it was a much calmer affair.

It's terrifying that in what is the most challenging (and, dare I say it, most politically interesting too) period for our country in generations, we are "blessed" with the most talentless, clueless, self-serving buffoons to ever run the place.

The "worst" one I remember was the (Kevin Keegan) Southampton game in our first season. It was a Tuesday night and the place was rammed. You couldn't even get up the ramp onto the North Bank. Official attendance was something crazy like 22,000!

this is my dad

at 22 he was sent half way round the world to fight, not knowing if he would ever come back. He served in 6th Bttn South Wales Borderers. I've read some stuff anout their exploits on line. It must have been terrifying.

at the same age I used to moan about getting out of bed to go work for the council.

if you ever get the chance, visit the SWB museum in Brecon. They've got some fantastic stuff in there from conflicts all over the world and down the ages.
