The Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
at 20:38 5 May 2024

If he was on a rumoured £20k a week, even if he accepted half that, £10k is a considerable slice of wages that should go on a up and coming younger player. His injury record is hardly going to improve with age. Time to cut the cord.

Could Swansea buy Rushworth?
at 14:35 3 May 2024

I love your idea, and indeed if I was a billionaire owner it would be a no brainier to risk £8m for a possible £30m return on your investment going forwards, on a future England keeper.
But can you imagine the chuckle brothers coughing up that sort of money?
There’s more chance of them actually watching a match live, of the team they actually own than risking their own cash.

Sense spoken at last !
Allen & Naughton have done their bit, got paid very well for doing so, (except sicknote Walsh) so no more pension funding them into retirement, over to the already over staffed coaching set up.

When Woods does his standing still thing, with his foot on the ball, then doing a little pirouette, while passing it back to Rushworth, it does my effin head in!
Give me Darling 100% of the time, totally better value than Wooden Woods.
Other people seem to rate him, I’d sell him (and Banjo Yates) tomorrow to fund a “proper “ striker

If Cullen and Banjo Yates are your choice strikers, then your recruitment system stinks !

The Ospreys
at 21:49 24 Apr 2024

I know this is a Swansea football site, but as they shared our stadium, and represent our city (plus Neath) I feel duty bound to ask for your views on this situation ~~>

Talks tomorrow with the CEO of The Ospreys and the Council, concerning their move to St Helens.
That will probably mean the end of cricket at his historic cricketing venue.
I’ll always remember Sir Gary Sobers hitting the very first televised, 6 sixes in an over, and many more memories of Glamorgan beating touring sides, and winning The Championship, especially in 1969.
Spent many an hour down there as a kid watching The Glams in the summer, and The Swans in the summer.
It will be a sad day if this happens, but I do appreciate the other side of the coin, that the ratepayers of Swansea had a big part to play in the running of it.
There’s talk of turning the rugby pitch 90%, and building a hotel at the Wreck end, all privately funded.
What (if any) are you views ?

Too inconsistent for me, especially if he wants decent money. Far better value for money out there, with a lot of clubs struggling financially. Only trouble is would you trust Watson with a transfer budget?

Mykola Kukharevych : International man of mystery ! A real Pro Star …
at 12:37 16 Apr 2024

Thanks for reply. I’m sure everyone appreciates the hard work you all put into this site. But i still feel nothing has been said of the actual mystery of his absence. How about some inside info from the man himself or his agent?
His agent must be bursting at the seams to shed some light on why his client has been treated so abysmally.
I keep saying exactly the same thing every time the subject of MK is raised.
Is he so unbelievably shite that he can’t possibly be an option for replacing a guy who can’t hit a whole barn, let alone the barn door with a football??

Whatever happened to investigative journalism ?
I can’t believe not one of the Swans related sites, have done a deep dive article into wtf is going on with MK’s non appearances?
Even more so when you consider a banker like Yates (1 goal in 20 games is it?) was continually getting game time.
There is no way he can be so useless, as to warrant the way he’s been treated.
If he’s that useless why include him on the bench?
The truth is out there, go find it fansnetwork.co.uk

I’m hoping against hope that the players are “UP” for tonight, as they were for the Cardiff derby game. I want to see the same energy and enthusiasm with the press that LW wants, and should be demanding, considering the situation we are in.
Please, pretty please, no starts for Banjo Yates and Fulton Mackay (one for the older fans)

I hope I’m not tempting fate by asking this, but I can remember the last time fans were chanting “You’re not fit to wear the shirt !” But I’m not sure when.
Any ideas? I could have sworn it was down the Liberty.

Luke Williams is the one I’d like to see get angry.
He needs to grow a pair, and start bollocking these players into playing his way, and not their half arsed walking football shite !
His way or the highway.

Quick? Have you seen him on a recovery run if an attacker has a yard on him?
Looks like he’s running in treacle.
Looks to have a promising future though.

Yeah, Patino and Yates shone out like beckons of hope when they came on!
The quicker we’re shot of the pair of them the better.
I did say Granted Lowe scored.

A manager that starts with the chuckle brothers (Grimes& Fulton) before Joe Allen, and doesn’t expect walking football, is a worrying observation if you’re a Swans fan.
Also worrying is his substitutions. Granted Lowe was the exception today as he scored, but the number of games that we are actually worse after his changes are mounting.

Absolutely agree. I am getting so peed off with these players.
Last week I was down the Rose in Mumbles after the Scum game, and the players were there celebrating with Swans fans.
Everything was hunky Dori, with congratulations everywhere, because you felt the players really got it, and gave 100% for the jersey against the old enemy.
Fast forward to this afternoon.
Are these same players taking the piss ?
I watched the whole game, and it was about as enjoyable as someone who can’t see a dentist, and has to extract his own painful tooth with a pliers.
Far too much dead wood.
Three managers haven’t got a tune out of these players, plus the majority of the 13 Watson (the less said the better ) transfers, Rushworth and Key excluded.
If players can’t be asked unless it a derby game with a full house, then why should I bother renewing my season ticket for next year ?
