With the premier league clubs getting more and more money and the championship sides getting deeper in debt think this seasons outcome will become a regular occurrence.I will keep my season ticket but doubt if I do anywhere near as many away games next season I’ve only missed 4 in 3 seasons. If we git relegated I would do them all in the championship.Im what’s called a legacy fan I understand that is the new tag for us been around too long don’t spend enough in the club shop and are a hangover from the past 😃
As you say Brentford would have been in the relegation mix most seasons had the promoted teams been of better quality.Has been the worse season for many years due to an unprecedented long list of long term injuries losing whole back 4 and both wide players for most of the season along with Toney for half the season.Finishing on 39 points ( could get 40 or 42 ) would have kept Brentford up over the last 20 years.Been a very unexciting season in the PL that at times bores the arse off you it’s sooo predictable and it’s most fans dream untill they get there.Give me the championship all day long
Next season the league looks like being the most unpredictable in years for once the relegated teams won’t be as strong as this season apart from maybe Burnley (could still survive hopefully at the expense of Forrest)can’t see any of the teams coming up being the whipping boys.Every clubs fans must be thinking that a top 6 finish is possible.
Var Away games apart from luton and Fulham Tourists Half and Half scarfs Dreadful kick off time Rescheduled fixtures to even more dreadful kick off times Over rated over paid footballers
Complain they laughed about on their celebration balcony in town centre I quote “thanks for the help from Jon Moss and no VAR”oh how they all cheered and laughed.Love Luton or Burnley to beat them to the drop rotten to the core that club and fans.
The new stand is obviously there to create income from non match days as well.I saw it at the start of the season and thought it looked impressive even though not completely finished.Still one of my favourite away days.
I never lose sight of the fact my club gets over 120 mill a season from the TV revenue that the Premier league are able to pay due to the attraction of the top teams like City Liverpool ect.Doubt if Brentford v Bournmouth attracts much interest around the world but then again without us peasants they wouldn’t have a league to play in and win. I would love the so called elite clubs and players piss off and play with the European League but sadly won’t happen and the new rules the PL will be introducing next season will make the rich clubs even more secure in the league and the rest of the clubs in the Efl and PL will just have to wait their turn to have a stint in this most boring league in the world.
Yes agree it’s all utter nonsense highlighted by the PL stating that when they dish out their punishment to Everton again and Forrest soon and the outcome of any appeal will be announced no later than a week after the season has finished..When the new regulator is appointed for next season the top rich clubs will be able to lose as much as they like as long it is guaranteed in a sort of escrow account.Might as well dump the whole FFP charade. The Premier league is just a place clubs like Brentford Luton Bournmouth and many others to visit for a short time and most of their fans prefer the championship.
Finished 9 th last season and yes I expect that’s as good as it gets if you play by the rules and maybe why Benham is looking for investment elsewhere.
