Shelvey was signed from Liverpool by Michael Laudrup for Â£5m, the midfielder made his league debut for Charlton at just 16 years old. Liverpool bought him for Â£1.7m in 2010 and loaned him out to Blackpool in 2011, where he scored 6 goals in 10 games.

He made just 17 league starts for Liverpool but scored 4 goals in 10 Europa League matches last season. A player who has an eye for a pass, likes to shoot and get stuck into a tackle.
