Are we going to see young players given a chance in the first team soon?
Let's be honest we ain't going up and the team this year looks and plays better than last, so to me we ain't going down either.
CN spent considerable time, effort and money to clear out the youth development and bring in different supposedly better prospects. Isn't that the model?
JS was brought in as he has a reputation for development.
Seems a missed opportunity not to be giving some of these players more of a go or at least be loaned out?

But that's the point isn't it? Esquerdinha is the exactly the sort of player we need to develop. Only way to do that is to play him, coach him through games. Not saying 90mins every game but much more than he's getting.
You can lump Bennie, Adamson and to a lesser extent Morgan into this mix as well.
It's about getting the mix of first team aspirations and development right.
Feel like although we are inconsistent collectively we still need to be allowing more youth to feature and not stagnate. |  |

Bit early to expect instant results, many clearly need more development and time. Out of all of them, I think Morgan and the lesser spotted Kolli are at the front of the queue, the rest well behind.
Realistically, we should be seeing some beginning to knock hard on the door this time next year. However, if we really want to expedite their development, then for my money, much rests with securing good loans at clubs where they'll have the resources and opportunities to really test them.
Sending them outside leagues one and two would not be my preference, unless where theyare going ping has a proven record of improving loanees. [Post edited 9 Dec 11:47]

Guessing you missed the change of policy earlier in the season then ! that was last years plan , still waiting to hear about this years plan which is likely to be changed around feb/ march time for next years plan, thing is with us being close to the play off places it would be madness to chuck the kids in when we could easily make the play offs , we wont obv but still have that chance . esquedina as snown is no where near ready to be a starter possibly last 20 if we are three nil up |  |

Any winger/10/striker would have to be a generational talent to break in ahead of Kone, Burrell, Saito, Chair, Dembele, Poku, Vale, Smyth.
I'm surprised we haven't seen more of Morgan in CM and that Tylon Smith hasn't been on the bench yet.
However Moragn and Smith are both teenagers and there's lots of football for them to play |  |
