Was sat in the Charlton end last night with a Charlton supporting mate quite close to jones on the touch line.

He is a full on loony I was fascinated watching him. Was twitching, and at times not watching the game. Talked to himself incessantly in the third person. During water breaks at times he wandered off and his coaches were left instructing his players.

Was like an evil version of Olly . Looking like a man who hadn’t slept for three weeks after his wife left him for a wealthier man, totally bizarre- if I read today he had been committed it would not surprise me.

He is. Limited resources and I’d argue punching above their weight if they stay up semi-comfortably. Still think his madman schtick is mostly performative but over the course of his managerial career he’s shown he’s good at it.

He has been clever.
Charlton does not have Champ players, so he's gone for the PNE approach, and it's working. We didn't like it, and they marked Madsen and Vale out of the game. This time our wingers did not come to the resecue so that was that.

Luckily, at the other end, a forward line of Dykes and Kelmen is L1 at best, so we did not have that much to worry about. When Coady, who is playing out of position in midfield, has your best chance and misses it, you know your forward line is drek poor.

I'm not sure about that. I was watching on DAZN and the comms there mentioned that was the first time they hadn't scored at home for a while, so I reckon they normally get at least one. Our keeper def kept us in the game, and again I think it was past 60 mins before we had a shot on target?

So, if they were pony, we were a bit worse in that first half!

Very little help from our array of midget wingers. I really hope Chair is back soon resembling anything like his old self.

I hated him when he was at Luton but then again I hate everything to do with Luton.

However since then and I dare I say it "I have slightly warmed to him" and he has even been slightly complementary about us.

They’ve kept 10 clean sheets in 30 games so if they carry that sort of form on they’ll end up with a healthy goals conceded number. 38 in 30 games isn’t shabby and better than us. 29 goals scored less so.

Assuming they grind out enough points as I think they will it’s a solid first season. How he kicks them on against the odds in a second season will be challenging especially with Cardiff and probably one other reasonably big side coming up.
