Bang on. Well said LB. @Nix same for me. When I was working in a bar in Montpellier I would spend much of the interminable Sunday evening chatting to the regulars and surreptitiously refreshing LFW. With the hour ahead I would often read it at the end of my shift! [Post edited 26 Oct 12:03]

Looking forward to the Burnley match roll call as I'm finally making my pilgrimage to LR. Been a tough few years where I haven't been able to make it there (used to be an annual thing) so I'm really excited to get a taste of the atmosphere again. |

Bang on. He's come on leaps and bounds which says a lot about his character and also JS' coaching. Not a perfect player (as noted above) but I think you'd struggle to find two better defensive fullbacks at this level right now. They absolutely pocketed two of the league's best wingers (according to WLS) at the weekend. Swansea barely had a sniff. |

Agree with this! I think Stephan has shown that he can develop players. I wasn't trying to be glib with my statement, I was just trying to point out that I was happily giving both Madsen and Adamson pelters before and now one is out best midfielder and one is our best right back. There's still plenty of time for Obikwu to develop, though the injury record is certainly not the best. If Obikwu was a miss, too, then I don't think it's the end of the world. The transfer fee was punchy, but given that we have signed our entire fullback group for a total price of around 50k (Adamson), I think the odd miss is OK. But maybe I'm just feeling a bit too cheery after the weekend, idk |

After writing off Madsen and Adamson, are we going to write off Obikwu as well so quickly? |

I'm not sure. As someone who gets frustrated when we lose and people get very negative on here, it's also a bit premature to be giving huge props to Nourry after a victory - JS is right, we mustn't get carried away in either direction. I'm generally positive about the direction of the club, but some things still give me pause (communication, injuries, Furlong). We can make a judgement at the end of the season. |

Watching the full 90 now and that second goal is absolutely top class. Great work to create the first chance, and then the speed and energy from Adamson to win it back, the delicious ball from Poku and a delightful headed finish from Kone. That might honestly be one of the best Rangers' goals I've ever seen |

Managed to sneak off and watch the second half. We absolutely dominated them and it could've been 6 or 7 by my count! Going to watch the highlights in a bit and then watch the first half later in the week. |

I'm hungover instead and I agree wholeheartedly |

I was a bit sceptical when we signed him... An older player, with a middling record at this level whose been frozen out at Rennes? It seemed a bit desperate. However, he's been absolutely brilliant, and basically what we were begging for last season - an 8 who can progress the ball, tackle and make space for teammates. |

You could almost see him kicking himself after Mbengue went down, because I think the Scarlett change was actually one of his. Scarlett, to his credit, again didn't look out of place though. Would've been nice to watch him get a chance against Derby with 11 on the field. |

The amount of stick he gets from some corners is absolutely baffling to me. He's exactly the mind of player that we should love as fans - hard working, gives everything for the badge and is clearly a good influence in the dressing room. Oh, and he's also a really good player who pops up with goals (including again yesterday, and don't get me started on Preston). Legend. I hope he sees out his career with the club. |

Let's have a whip round. What a top-tier player |

Agree with the positive comments regarding Varane. Watched it with my family (all Rangers) and we were all gobsmacked at how progressive he was being with the ball. Moved it well and actually picked Poku out with a great pass at one point that turned into a bit of a limp cross. Charles is another level. I know 'never fall in love with a loan player' but it's too late, I'm totally smitten. Let's get a prayer vigil going for City to be relegated to non-league so we can have him. |

His only weakness is pace, which we saw once yesterday. He does compensate with raw aggression and general b*stardness though. We've said for a while that we need a bit more spine in the squad and he certainly brings that. At one point yesterday he lost the ball three times and then somehow reappeared with it, as he just refuses to give it up. I love it! His setup for Alfie yesterday was also class. |

Shame to give away a clean sheet but a convincing victory nonetheless. I think with 11 we don't concede there! Lovely to watch us batter someone |
