It's testament to the deeper squad this year that we at least have some reasonable cover for each of those, but it is alarming. I haven't seen any of the first half, can they be attributed to the state of the pitch do we think? The Poku one is really frustrating. At the start of the season he was the player that I was most excited about seeing, but you wonder whether we're going to see what he's about at all this season. |

I have to admit I missed the first half, and was doing other things whilst watching the second, but my impression was that the whole team were pretty laboured and uninspired until Kolli scored. I always think it's hard to judge a striker when the team behind them isn't flowing properly, although I did see him misplacing passes in dangerous areas like I say. But, when you're not playing regularly it's easy to make mistakes by trying to force things that aren't on, especially if you're young. And the most important thing is that he's shown again that he has an instinct for scoring. We've lacked that for years - apart from the few games he played last season in fact! For me he's a talent we should be excited about cultivating, and if Burrell is out for a while, now's the time. |

Re Morgan, he and Field seem to have become utility players, both having now played as CM, FB, and up front. Bit of a double edged sword, in that he's getting game time but 'm not sure that's great for his development and establishing himself as a first team player? |

Don't think I belong to a camp, but tremendously gratifying seeing one of our own playing with freedom and confidence, putting away two classy finishes in front of the loft. God knows the truth of all the off field shenanigans, but really hope he gets more games and grows. He could do with cutting out some of the more speculative passes in dangerous areas , which will hopefully come when he's more confident of his place and not trying to force it Does anyone know what the odd angry look after his first goal was about? Some in joke goal celebration, or a reaction to something from the crowd? |

Lovely strike that, and nice link up with Kone. Strange angry look on Kolli's face after he scored, what's that all about ? [Post edited 4 Jan 13:51]

JS said something about there not being enough time to work on different shapes and tactics before tomorrow, but I hope he does consider man marking Bannan. With the rate that games are coming at us, and how tedious they have been, feeling a bit flat about this one. As James said: |

Good luck to him if we do have interest - and Dave is unlikely to have made that up. Could see him being a bit of a monster in League 1. |

Yeah read that earlier. You can totally see how that scenario, plus potentially a fat pile of cash earned from your playing career, could lead to some fairly self-destructive places. |

Hard to be analytical on such a poor performance, but assorted reflections. - Neither Hayden nor Morgan made much of a case for replacing Varane. - Madsen probably came out of it with more credit than most, on the basis that he actually managed to string a couple of progressive passes together, and threw his head into someone's boot which was something. - Mbengue can actually hit them like that on purpose. |

Poku hasn't been great. You can see he's got some nice technique, but he looks very league 1 at the moment, which isn't a suprise given his lack of game time. The Norwich commentator was listing our signings from league 1 in the first half, which is probably worth us all remembering - a lot of our players are still learning about this league, which I think shows up in how often we've given the ball away over the last few games. That said, that was a piss poor performance |

One shot on target in 180 minutes. Four shots on target in 270 minutes. |

Turgid stuff. Basic cross from Poku in the 90th minute the standout piece of attacking play |

Norwich showing a lot of battle in this game, winning most 50/50s etc |

These dick heads have had a proper go at ruining my xmas this year. |

I was anticipating something more like Cook's misjudged back pass in the first half, but defending like an under 10s team was more obvious in hindsight |

Mbengue stood five yards behind two Norwich players with his hand in the air like a plum. Our defending has been fcking bollocks over this past three games. [Post edited 1 Jan 16:07]
