I might have posted on this before as someone myself who has a 1 inch difference in leg to hip length but what I call Jimmy’s awkward gait which I assumed was due to one leg being slightly shorter than the other may actually be a result of that double hip op.

No mate, Smugglers is at the bottom of the high st. Sweeneys was a much bigger pub further up the road. It started to get a bad reputation a while back and it got taken over by another crowd who tried to turn it into some sort of nightclub - which went down like a lead balloon with the local community Facebook page.
Last time I was in there it had reopened as some fusion Indian restaurant/cocktail bar and it was a disaster. We ended up having a row with the management when we gave up waiting for half our group to still even get their starters after an hour and a half wait.
Yes, The Middlesex is a case of needs must etc and very local. It vexes me that I can only afford to live in the South of Ruislip when I was an Eastcote boy growing up. My mission is to be able to retire within walking distance of the Case!
Agree. My concern is that his attacking burst might be judged ‘high tariff’ by Southgate. With that burst through crowded defenders there is the risk of turnover and Mr Cautious might prefer slow and steady possession which bores the arse off of us but less likely to be punished.

If it's to watch football with my brother and mates then it is the Middlesex Arms in South Ruislip which is 300yrds down the road.
If it's with the Mrs then the venue has to be a little bit more genteel shall we say (or expensive in reality).
Faves are The Case is Altered in Eastcote or The White Bear between Ruislip and West Ruislip.
All three were originally built as pubs and better than these new pubs and the recent trend of converting a high street shoe shop in to identikit, long narrow, Hennessy's, Three Wishes type chain pub.
Ok slight correction. The bank/credit card company will most likely ask you to address it with the retailer first before they go through a chargeback process. They would want to give the retailer the opportunity to refund it.
If it is a legit retailer with an integrated payments system then even if you do not have the receipt but have a card statement showing date, time and amount of the transactions, they should be able to trace the history in their point of sale reconciliation system.
Was out for a few pints and a curry with a mate who I had not seen much over the last few months who is a driver on the Central Line.
He is off for 3 months as of last week as he has had his 2nd “one under” which is the term for people who unfortunately throw themselves under a train.
Talking about it and other things that happen to him he started to recant a story of an incident that happened when he was driving between North Acton and Hanger Lane one Saturday evening.
I was able to tell him that you survived as drivers are never told of an outcome and he was so relieved. He is a gooner but has a very soft spot for the R’s all his life.
I think one of them now sends Finney an Agenda before hand to try and bring it a bit of structure as Finney is not a natural host and is prone to inane ramblings. I know Finney himself is the first one to admit he is not a great host so I do have sympathy but he spends too much time trying to be funny but it often fails to land and you almost hear the head shaking of the co hosts.
I know it is fans podcast and that many QPR fans will hate Chelsea, Brentford, Cardiff, but with Finney he hates everyone else and feels the need to let everyone else know. This season for the first time in 20yrs it has at times become unlistenable- which is a shame.

I have been keeping an eye on Jude-Boyd as he used to be a school pupil of my mate who is a headteacher and introduced me to Arkell at the Wealdstone pre-season friendly a while back.
He has been on loan at Torquay and seems to have done well there - but that is the problem they are Level 6 National League South. It would not surprise me if he resigned for them.
Arkell's problem was that Les and Warbs were talking to him about progressing as a right wing back when he wanted to play further up the pitch and we know how stacked we have been in the last year with players ahead of him in that position. My mate told him at the time to say "yes" to wherever he is asked to play to get himself established. Seems to have scored for Torquay as well. Wish him luck.
Been keeping an eye on Crawley as one of their players was in my daughter’s class at primary school and was part of the Watford Academy in Harefield when my Mrs worked there. Nice to see a local boy from a great family coming up through the leagues!
Clive, I do get it, quality over quantity in terms of podcast output. LFW Pod + 3 x large Jameson over ice was the perfect end to the working week. Intelligent and considered and no waffle about hating Chelsea and Brentford and Cardiff and being old and Irish and stupid every 2 mins.
