P.S. Granted.....tonight I've been mostly drinking Brandy....but let's have it right. Politicians? They want flogging, the lot of them. Two bob piss ants.......nothing more....nothing less.
Cab Calloway...........he had the answer. He would have had every last one of the Cowsons flogged..... And rightly so.
Many of Britain's problems are rooted in alcoholic middle aged people. They don't know whats going on, you can't tell 'em nuffink. They should be sorted out, floggin' preferably.
Am I the only one hoping for a hopelessly hung parliament so none of them can do anything stupid for a year or so and then go again in the hope some moderately competent politicians emerge?
'But there was one set of responses that far outweighed the support for any political party. I was staggered by the complete disengagement from the political process, especially in polyglot Wolverhampton and above all among the young. The same phrase kept recurring: "I don’t do politics", although everyone who has ever bought flowers after forgetting their mum's birthday in effect does politics: a skill usually acquired round about voting age. It feels there is a crisis broader than Brexit, than the arguments over immigration, than the danger of a Scottish breakaway. There is a crisis of disengagement from democracy.'
It's worse than that. They all seem to feel that they are "disengaged from business" too conveniently failing to spot that "evil business" employs most people in the country and directly or indirectly contribute the vast majority of tax that funds all the things that the politicians do.
It's fine to get pissed off with the likes of Fred Godwin, Phillip Green or Mike Ashley but at the end of the day we and politicians need a functioning business sector in order to pay for bin collections and all the rest.
The level of "debate" is derisory and more fool May for walking into the trap of trying to appease the simplistic twitter-reading divots who are demanding all sorts of nonsense. She's made herself look like an idiot and has painted herself into a corner.
