Having been working my way through local planning issues myself just recently my whelm is considerably undered. Planning offices are understaffed and often appear to by directed at the whim of local politics.
Bang out of order though to demand change of ownership publicly of a company just because things aren't going your way. makes them look exceptionally petty and completely Ignores all economic and community benefit which the club has done (including Grenfell) to support the local area. Suspect that we aren't offering the value that a strapped H&F feel that they should have and are looking to drag another pound of flesh. | |

But the article and the complaint by CarGiant seems to be about Boris Johnson and his setting up an organisation which wasted money. To be fair that would be typical of many things he did as Mayor wasting money on pointless, poorly thought through projects (thames garden bridge or water cannon vans anyone?). Khan's sole part in this has been to generally pause and review many of those schemes or structures to avoid further waste. In this case he has merely expressed disappointment that having talked themselves up on OOC, Car Giant (partly owned by one of the UK's biggest property developers) have withdrawn, essentially blaming that they cant make enough money from it.
All a bit sad, but hey, that may mean there is now space over there for a stadium after all | |

I dont trust TF ,never have. Our current owners are not the ones to take our club forward. For whatever reason they havnt managed to convince anybody that they can successfully make the the transition between football grounds . Its just one of those things. | |

Total fan ownership - well, varies from club to club. At our club at this point, for instance, it would have to be a fan that's got north of £8m a season to prop up what the club costs to run on top of what it brings in.
Basically every club in this league loses money to a greater or lesser extent. I'm not sure you'd find too many happy paying punters if we dropped a division or two in order to be owned by the supporters. And Christ can you imagine being that supporter on the board? You get unmerciful grief from so-called QPR fans for daring to run a website or a podcast, imagine if you actually put yourself up to be on the board! | | | |

The common thread in every one of the rows is the board. The board making grand announcements or unrealistic demands. And then they act all shocked when people say no. These people did not buy QPR because they love old stories about Stan Bowles, or because Rangers won the League Cup from Division Three. They did it to make money. The only way they can make money is by a combination of being in the Premier League and selling Loftus Road. They brought Jamie Reuben, a property developer, on to the board. Their end game is not a sustainable QPR, it is redeveloping LR, with QPR in the Premier League, then skedaddling with full pockets. They are not the good guys here. | | | |

Stadiums cost money, big money, and money does NOT grow on trees. The only way it'll get paid for, at least part paid for, is by developing Loftus Road.

Can only speak for myself, but I would happily sit in league one or league two if it means community ownership. I Appreciate I am a minority in this view and it will probably upset Hunter and few others at the suggestion that a socialist solution is the best one.
I’m not trying to wind anyone up, this is my core belief that privateers are the cause of all of British and world football’s ills, even with the insertion of untold billions of £s that comes with it. Even with those billions, the majority of us sit here today as fans are of QPR with fck all to show for it. No stadium, no training ground, no representation, nothing. Just 10 years of frustration really. I can’t see how community ownership could have done a worse job, even if we dropped to league 2. Does anyone think AFC Wimbledon fans have had a rough ride since community ownership? Nine promotions in eleven seasons, and overtaking their hated rivals in the league?
In exchange for the loss of finance community ownership would cause, we rid ourselves of speculators who wish to use QPR as a vehicle to push busnesses that provide no benefit to anyone in the QPR / West London area. The sole benefactor of the current board is Tune Group / Air Asia who had a well placed advert in the Premiership when they were there. Now they no longer have that they want to rape the social housing around White City instead, to fill the commercial hole relegation has brung. We are just a financial vehicle to them, as are most things in their life.
I’m sure TF and everyone else has a soft spot for QPR and wants them to do well on a emotional level, but don’t be fooled into thinking they won’t drop us like hot turd when the profit opportunities dry up and it becomes financially viable to do so.
I’d rather play Boreham Wood on my feet with the community with me, than Man City on my knees pouring my hard earned money into a low cost airline ferrying middle class Asian around a continent 10,000 miles away. [Post edited 8 Feb 2019 14:12]
