Given how they treated Kingstonian, I hope we are bastards of a landlord, have a water tight agreement with them and sweat them. They are not, by any stretch, the goodies in football, and they’re not far below us in the pyramid.

Bullshit.

Tired of the Wimbledon treated Kingstonian badly myth. The Khoslas treated Kingstonian badly not AFC.

You don’t know what you’re talking about, Baz. Two of my mates put money into Ks.

Yes, the Khoslas were bent as hell and screwed them right over, but every proper Ks fans has no respect for AFC, they took advantage of Ks after they’d been screwed over and did nothing to help them out (quite the opposite). Whereas look back at how Ks helped AFC onto their feet at the start.

You believe the myth peddled by the righteous AFC fans of you want, but it’s you that’s taking BS on this matter.

Ps. What Wimbledon fans went through originally was awful. Not debating that. But this is a separate issue and needs to be treated as such,

I also put money into the Ks! And so did many AFC fans!

On what issue did AFC screw the Ks in your opinion? Was it the rent? Or the sale?

Do they have any decent youngsters there that we have an eye on? Just sweetening them up for a bid?

Chelsea signed 14-year-old Leo Castledine in March, he was an England U16 player and AFC’s youngest ever U18 player. His sister is in the same class as my daughter, his dad Stewart is a former Dons player and a great friend of Gareth Ainsworth from their time there. Lovely bloke.

Will we get to watch their streamed games as part of our Season Ticket renewal package?

Only if you renew late. If you go for the early bird renewal you can avoid them.

Pah. When you look at the timelines the Khosla's could, allegedly, have been working to sell to AFC all along with AFC's knowledge.

I don’t quite mean putting money in, in that sense, at that level. They’re also season ticket holders. And have been throughout this whole period.

AFC screwed them over on the purchase (because they knew what the Khoslas were about), the rent (because they charged Ks far more than had been the case the other way around), and the sale (because they didn’t give much notice, and put Ks in a almost impossible position), which made them have to leave the borough and the only place available was Leatherhead.

Khoslas obviously a crook, but AFC took advantage of that situation and screwed over a fellow club in the process, indeed one who’d helped them at the start. They can’t hide behind his “it’s your own chairman you have to blame, not us”. Ks fans know the chairman shafted them, but AFC were complicit.

I should add, I’m not overly bothered or angry about the topic. Lots of shafting goes in non-league from what I hear. It’s all small time gangster and quite cut throat.

I just tire of this lazy, naive impression of plucky old AFC making good and what a lovely group they are. They are worse clubs out there, but AFC are no goodies and shouldn’t be treated as such. They want to rent out ground, we charge them the maximum we can, just like they did to their former landlord who gave them huge discounts to help them out. What goes around comes around.
