Agents fees 22:55 - Apr 3 with 2599 viewsbongo_king

A timely reminder of what we are actually working with in this league. 9th lowest over the last calendar year. 1/10th that of Fulham (10m), who spent more on agents alone over the year than we have probably done on agents and signing fees for several seasons now. Though they are not alone - west brom, bournemouth, sheff u, stoke and (of course) forest all spending nuts money.

Obscene amounts of money leaving football never to return on top of players wages

Wonder if one day the Football Clubs, who are recipient's of this vast wealth(yet still losing millions) - will one day use some of it to benefit the "real supporters". Nah, stupid of me to think that🙄

A season is over 46 games. They are bottom for a reason.

the old saying, you get what you pay for.
agents have been controversial since their inception, are they there for the good and development of the game, the player or to keep the transfer merry go round wizzing?
why couldn't the PFA negotiate reasonable terms for a player and get a small commission?

The PFA can do this but player’s have agents because they know they can then get obscenely unreasonable terms instead.

the strange thing is - in almost all other areas the agent works for their client and charges them 20%( or whatever their agreed fee is).
is football the only game where the players don't pay the agents?
For instance, does Brad Pitt's agent charge the film company or studio for negotiating his clients services?
seems a bit odd to me...

"seems a bit odd to me..."

If it wasnt for the fact that the people who run the game (Fifa. Uefa, etc" are so totally incorruptible you might think the whole agent thing was a bit bent!
