Hard thread to start as i'm actually lost for words on this one, thought it was just the media clutching but sounds as if its true. Really poor timing, I hope Beale gets to see us through tonights game. Still banking on him turning down the job (wishful thinking) Anyway......next manager?

Kieran McKenna gets my vote!

He's not even gone yet! Can we just wait until anything is confirmed either way before talking about the next Manager.

I think our club needs to upgrade its ambitions, before seeking yet another fella who will never lead a team out at Wembley.

Hopefully Bournemouths new owners appoint their own man and we can swoop in for Gary O’Neil who has done a great job with a team that Scott Parker said wasn’t good enough

I hope the QPR board are talking about the next Manager just in case "the looking increasingly likely happens".
Corberan is the outstanding possibility but QPR would have to move fast as it's rumoured he's been interviewed by WBA twice. Then again Schumacher from Plymouth is in the frame for the job at The Hawthorns too.

I heard he’s in pole position.

In all seriousness, there is a promising first team coach at West Ham who I believe knows Rangers and likes to play attractive football.

I really would.

Some interesting selections here, not all the usual suspects either.

Must be nailed on now. What a cnt. Going to be a weird atmosphere tonight turning to toxic if we lose.

The one positive here (and I’m clutching at straws!) is that we suddenly look an attractive proposition to younger ambitious managers with one eye on the Premiership.

See my link above re young ambitious managers.

I'm gutted like most people but hes not the only 'kid' in town!

Plenty more fish in the sea. The above link has a few for starters. Rob Edwards another one, didn’t do well at Watford but they’re a basket case.

I’m gutted but trying to stay optimistic. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we pass Wolves on our way to the Premiership. Keep the faith!

Too different in style for current squad?

Genuine question, not an accusation!

Next manager on 17:17 - Oct 19 with 5883 viewsdaveB

not sure his style is that different but who knows.

McKenna at Ipswich would be good but not sure if we would have the money to get him

Wilder needs money to spend and control over transfers doesn't he? Thats where things went wrong for him at Sheff U and then again at Boro. I don't think the 'Head Coach' type role is what he looks for in a job. Almost certainly it'll be a Rob Edwards type or someone with a similar profile to Mick Beale in having a coaching background.
