Oh gosh where do i start....certainly with those already mentioned but Dirty Work, Brooklyn's Got A Charmer Over Me, Black Cow, Hey Nineteen....I could go on for ever....
Last saw them at the Beacon Theatre in NY, where we had the worst seats, I chanced it and offered the security guy $30 to find us a better seat and he escorted us downstairs into the front row. And that's when i fell in love with one of the backing singers.

I love steely Dan. They really stand the test of time.
My all time favourite is Haitian Divorce. I've loved the riff from the day that I first heard it some 46 years ago and incredibly the lyrics are probably even more pertinent now than when they were written 46 years ago. Anyone who hasn't listened to it, listen to it as soon as you can, it's supreme, the guitar, the lyrics

Hmmm. The Dan. As good as you get. Lists will always be controversial. Personally, I would have to include 'Dirty Work' and 'FM'. Then more leftfield tunes, 'Midnite Cruiser', 'King of the World' 'Bad Sneakers' or 'Green Earrings'. Larry MF Carlton, Phil effing Wood, Jeff 'weed killer' Porcaro and numerous other genius musos enhance their sound to the maximum. For those of you at my wedding, sorry I murdered 'Kid Charlemagne'. Not really, Nearly Dan are fantastic, friends of mine by proxy, but it's a labour of love. The tribute at Wealdstone FC are OK, but not as good.
