Match Preview: Luton Town (A)
Blackpool make the trip to take on Luton Town on Easter Monday in the Sky Bet Championship.
With the Seasiders looking to aim for survival in the second tier for another season, Rob Edwards' Hatters are aiming to cement a play-off place.
The Seasiders last outing at Kenilworth Road saw a combative performance earn a 1-1 draw via a Gary Madine penalty last season.
One to Watch - Carlton Morris:
Morris has been a dominant force in the forward line for Luton Town in the Sky Bet Championship this campaign with 16 league goals asserting that view.
Five assists on top of his scoring exploits makes him a real all-rounder and a threat to any side in the division at this point.
The Manager - Rob Edwards:
The former Seasiders defender has had a bright start to life as a Football League manager. Promotion from Sky Bet League Two with Forest Green last season saw Edwards come to the attention of Watford as they looked for a sharp return to the Premier League.
With an indifferent spell at Vicarage Road, it didn't take long for another side in the second tier to look at his services with Luton Town looking for him to build on the work of Nathan Jones. Edwards has succeeded thus far including a win over his old Club and Luton's rivals Watford.
The Referee - Andy Davies
Davies has taken charge of 20 games so far this campaign with the majority in the Sky Bet Championship, handing out 72 yellow cards and two red cards in the process.
The official's last match involving the Seasiders was the 2-1 defeat at Wigan Athletic in November where Marvin Ekpiteta was sent off in the first half.

The Hatters will look to continue their current momentum of eight games without defeat, while Blackpool will look to turn around their poor form after four defeats in their last five games.
The opposition:
Blackpool are currently second bottom in the Sky Bet Championship, seven points away from safety with just six games remaining this season.
The Tangerines parted company with manager Mick McCarthy after falling to defeat for the third game in a row on Good Friday against Cardiff City.
One of the positives from this season for Blackpool has been the development of Arsenal loanee Charlie Patino, who has benefited from his spell at Bloomfield Road.
Top scorer Jerry Yates has netted 12 times this season, including three goals in his last three matches; Yates did not feature in Blackpool’s Good Friday defeat.

Blackpool suffered a 3-1 away loss to Luton Town in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Seasiders took the lead through a header by Andy Lyons in the first-half, but three goals either side of half-time saw the Hatters secure the three points.
The first chance of the match went to the home side when Cody Drameh headed wide at the back post, after a ball was clipped into the Pool area.
In the 27th minute after good linkup play by Morgan Rogers, Lewis Fiorini found space on the edge of the box to strike on goal, but his shot went straight down the barrel of Ethan Horvath in the Luton goal.
Pool took the lead in the 29th minute when Lyons got on the end of a fabulous Fiorini free-kick to head past Horvath.
In the 33rd minute Keshi Anderson made an amazing last ditch block, before Pool broke down the other end with Josh Bowler, who cut inside and stung the palms of Horvath.
Three minutes later Drameh caught a volley from the edge of the box, but it didn’t dip in time to trouble Chris Maxwell in the Pool goal.
Two minutes into added time for the first-half Luton Town equalised as Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu curled an effort into the bottom corner after a free-kick was cleared in his direction.

Two minutes into the second-half CJ Hamilton broke and fed Bowler who struck on goal, but his effort was tame.
In the 50th minute Carlton Morris drove into the Pool box, but his near post finished went wide of the upright.
Twenty minutes from time Marvelous Nakamba chipped a ball into the box, which evaded everyone before Maxwell made sure it didn’t go into the far corner with a diving save.
In the 72nd minute Morris gave the Hatters the lead as he fired in after a delivery caused chaos in the Pool box.
Mpanzu extended the home side’s lead four minutes later as he placed it in the top corner from a pull back.
Pool nearly responded instantly as Hamilton pulled the ball back to an onrushing Lyons, but the earlier goal scorer’s effort was well saved and his follow up header was cleared off the line.
Luton Town came from behind to beat Championship strugglers Blackpool 3-1 at Kenilworth Road on Easter Monday.
Andy Lyons had given the Seasiders a surprise lead before Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu equalised on the stroke of half-time. Top scorer Carlton Morris fired the Hatters in front with just under 20 minutes to play, before Mpanzu scored his second and Town’s third with a superb finish to secure four points across the Easter period.
Manager Rob Edwards made one change to the starting line-up from the goalless draw against Millwall on Good Friday — with Reece Burke returning to the backline for his first start since February, in place of Gabe Osho.
It was a slow start at Kenilworth Road with both sides finding chances to come by. Blackpool, who were seven points adrift at the start of play, began positively but it was the Hatters who had the first shooting opportunity.
Marvelous Nakamba, as he does so often, won back possession in midfield and played a forward ball into Carlton Morris, who fired towards goal with a first-time shot, but it was blocked behind by captain Curtis Nelson for a corner.
Lewis Fiorini tested Ethan Horvath just before the half-hour mark with a strike from outside the box, before their second effort on goal two minutes later saw the Seasiders take the lead. Fiorini was the provider as he delivered a pinpoint free-kick towards Andy Lyons who guided a header off the ground and into the top corner.
It looked to be a good response with Carlton Morris and Allan Campbell both having shots blocked within seconds of each other, before Blackpool countered and almost scored a second through Josh Bowler but his attempt was beaten away by the USA international.
Luton finally managed to find a way past a stubborn Blackpool defence on the stroke of half-time through Mpanzu with his second goal of the campaign.
Cody Drameh’s free-kick was headed down by Morris to the midfielder, who took one touch to compose himself and a second to pick out the bottom corner.
It proved to a be a pivotal moment in the match, with momentum swinging Luton’s way as they put the Seasiders to the sword in the second period.
Morris went close five minutes into the half with a low shot that he fired into the side netting before boss Edwards made a positive double change after the hour mark — turning to Luke Berry and Cauley Woodrow off the bench.
Both had headed opportunities within minutes of coming on, with Woodrow coming closest from Drameh’s cross but Maxwell was equal to it. Nakamba then went close to what would have been a first and fortuitus Luton goal as his cross was missed by Town’s number 10 but proved difficult for the Blackpool keeper, who quickly got across his goal to turn it behind.
But after persistent pressure, the Hatters were rewarded for their patience when Morris scored his 17th goal of the season. Doughty’s cross was held up in the wind and James Husband’s attempted clearance went only as far as the former Barnsley man, who fired the ball into the bottom corner.
Five minutes later, Town claimed a third thanks to an emphatic finish from Mpanzu. Woodrow patiently waited for support into the box and his low cross was dispatched brilliantly by the midfielder who scored a brace for the first time since April 2019 when he netted twice against Accrington Stanley.
Alfie Doughty was forced off late into the contest following an aerial collision and Luke Freeman returned to action for the first time since December, but the Hatters managed to see out another important win which stretched their current unbeaten run to 10 matches ahead of a trip to Rotherham United on Saturday.
