I am sure we will keep the best that we can within our means. That seems to have been the strategy for a few years now.

You mean do exactly what we did before and what we are still struggling to recover from. Really?

The last time we gambled like that was with Austin and Johansen. Within 15 months we were in trouble, as they faded.
Besides, there are key players ( Willock, Armstrong, 3 keepers) out of contract, so we prob can't keep them.

I am confident that the 'set-up' we now have off the pitch they will not be planning for anything but a 'play-off' position next season.......could be a good season ahead of us.

Seeing as JCS is our only obvious money spinner at the present time, I’m fairly relaxed about that being an issue.

Ideally I’d like us to keep him but if offered enough we might get nearer boosting our front line.

Most importantly we’ve got a good back line and centre mid that are not in huge demand down to a mixture of age and under the radar types, having played in a failing team for so long. In that respect Les & Co did a good job.

Finding a successful way to break up the Dykes-Willock-Chair axis will define how far we move forward. It’d be nice to try and do it before Cook starts creaking, that would upset everything I fear.

Not for me. Next season I’d be happy with a top half finish , a Lipitor less jeopardy and I’m pretty certain we’ll get entertainment especially under Marti.
There will be in ins and outs .
We may have to wait another year for Eze windfall. Can’t see palace allowing both Olise and Eze to leave in the same season. I fear it will be Olise in the summer .
Consolidation is the key . Boring , I know but when I get my season this season, it won’t be with a heavy heart.

Paper talk (I know, I know!) that both Spurs and City are interested in Eze.
If so, could be good as it’ll be a bidding war which City will obviously win!

I’m almost certain Armstrong has signed a new contract. He let slip on social media or something.

A prime minister was once asked what drove his decisions. “Events dear boy, events,” came his reply. So with transfer windows for clubs in our financial plight. If Eze sold, great, maybe we can go for it. If the right offer comes in for JSC, Field, Dunne, Paal (anything is possible) then they have to go and we seek out the next one of those players (they are out there, being released by Premier League clubs for free).

Please let's not ever gamble the future of our club again. Sell anyone while their stock is high

QPR has made that mistake before. The club needs to strike a balance between ambition and sustainability. I can't stomach another cycle of gambling followed by 2-3 years of austerity when the gamble doesn't pay off.
