Can't remember the name but as you drive into the village there is a green ahead and to the right- the pub is in the opposite corner to your arriving at the green. I discovered this place by accident and was more than pleasantly surprised to see a 2010 Pool shirt framed on the wall.

OT Hawes Creamery on 12:20 - Nov 3 with 634 views | Lala | Thanks all. Wilf - didn't read this before I went but ended up doing Buttertubs pass anyway as we went to Castle Bolton, Reeth, Muker and then back to Hawes. What a spectacular drive that Buttertubs pass was....I didn't know it had a name but we commented several times on the breathtaking scenery. http://carterscountry.co.uk/2010/10/buttertubs-pass-a-gem-of-a-view/ I wouldn't like to be driven over there by an unconfident driver though.

It's a beautiful area, really beautiful, Gunnerside was another village ticked off my list. Reeth was surprisingly pretty. We will have to check out the Tan Hill pub, have read about it being the highest etc, but never been.
