Bit of a cheeky one that pulled by our American brethren.

So do foreigners living in the US pay US taxes too?

Been common practice for decades. Remember a few years ago when Schwarzenegger was Governor of California, he sacked about 10,000 teachers. Quite a few ended up over here, and I remember reading an article about how they couldn't buy a home as it would be taxable in the USA. Quite a few then renounced their US citizenship, which is when the Obama administration bought in the charge, and made the renouncing process harder.

Yes, foreigners living in the US do pay US taxes. Remember they are the Superpower, so their game, their rules. In a way it's only what we use to do when we had an empire.

My brother-in-law has duel nationality, born in the US. When he studied here to become a forensic scientist he applied for numerous positions in the UK with no luck. He then applied for positions in the US and never looked back.

25+ years later he’s been very successful and made a fantastic life for himself and his family.

So they get the benefits of taxation both ways.

Not keen on that in terms of fairness.

It's the way empires have worked all through history. It's what the Greek/Romans/Spanish/British did. It's what the Chinese/Indian/whoever.... will do in the future.

I've got plenty of friends with French / other dual nationalities. No such problems for the moment.

Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.
