No. I actually don’t mind my job Jane. I am a hot head and managers have told me they love my passion! In other words shut the f up Karen. But in the main I have an easy time.
I think I just start to relax then it’s back again. Not good with change and time relaxing is so precious isn’t it

That’s exactly what you should do. Break things down into smaller chunks. Start a little project at home (like painting your porch 😃). Do a bit of painting in your lunch hr, preferably emulsion as you can clean your brush quicker 😃. | |

Echo what Jane says. Also take your breaks, do a xword, read a book, go for a stroll, go to the loo, wash a cup out, anything, just get away for 10 - 15 mins. Also about managers, most (not all) are in for an easy ride. Some should say less and do more. | |

Its very do as I say where I work. I’ve grown to voice opinions, but always without insult. Some managers can’t handle opinions. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some great managers who will come with me and find equal ground, and some who will totally disagree but respect opinion.
This one seems to think a different opinion is a weakness and bad behaviour.
I’m torn between saying nothing and hating myself for it, and saying something and hating myself for making things stressful for me and her.
Does that make sense?
My ex used to tell me tow the line, against a manager you will always lose. It’s not about winning though, it’s about being yourself surely.
Am reading ‘the courage to be disliked ‘at the mo. I don’t really mind being disliked to be honest, but hate not being allowed to be me 🥴 and then disliking myself.

Agree with that Lala.
However work is only a small part of your life, and managers come and go. Do try to switch off from it when you can. Give yourself "me" time (even at work). Take your breaks, think Jane's advice is good.
