This issue could very well cause problems and has been neatly side stepped.
I can the the argument of both attendees and boycotters.
The only fair thing to do would be to wipe the slate clean for everyone who will then start on a level playing field. It means all seats going on sale in a 'free-for-all' kind of battle.

The middle 2 blocks of the west are the plum seats and were well occupied. There won't be a problem in the rest of the stadium.
It seems as though as soon as the seats were jumped on as soon as they became available.
A case of dead man's shoes.
In the interest of avoiding the trouble this could cause, I think a free-for-all is the best solution.

Because they shoved in to the front of the queue and took the good seats before the bodies of the boycotters were even cold.
That's the point of it and you won't be able to make those concerned believe otherwise.
