Blackpool Fans' Reaction 09:45 - Feb 26 with 152 viewsspell_chekker

There's going to be lots of comments on social media today.

Here's an article -

‘We’re all coming home’ — Plenty of Blackpool fans react to significant news

Blackpool fans have been away from their club for far too long. The poisonous reign of the Oyston family has driven them from Bloomfield Road and from the club they love.

The Tangerines have gone from Premier League to League Two, but somehow managed promotion back to the third tier in 2016/17 despite the internal troubles. The legal battles, dwindling crowds and toxic atmosphere have driven them from Europe’s elite division to the brink of complete collapse.

Last night, the official receivers restructured the board, removing Owen Oyston and his daughter Natalie Christopher and replacing them with fresh new faces. They’ve added people who have experience of running a club, people who will doubtless look to make them a viable business once more.

Nothing will bring back the Premier League, nothing will erase the memories left by the family that almost killed the Seasiders, but there’s a change afoot that will bring the supporters back. Many have been in self-imposed exile, refusing to spend money on tickets that goes straight to the owners.

Now, there’s light at the end of the tunnel and there Blackpool fans couldn’t be more delighted.

‘This is incredible’ — A handful of Blackpool fans that surely sum up the feelings of thousands

A serious cloud has been lifted over Bloomfield Road this week with a new board and stadium bans lifted at Blackpool FC.

The Tangerines have fought long and hard for the replacement of the Oyston tenure at their club and, earlier this month, the wheels finally started to turn.
For sure, it must have felt futile at times in recent seasons but, at last, there has been a significant breakthrough, and that was hammered home yesterday afternoon as the Tangerines took to Twitter:

Good news at last, then, for a side that has been under the thumb for too long and has been close to going to the dogs on a number of occasions.

They are, however, on the right path now and with plenty still to play for this season, what a boost it’ll be to have a rocking Bloomfield Road again for remaining home games.

Certainly, it’s news that many will be pleased to see — not just supporters of the club — and the response on Twitter from this handful, surely reflects the feeling of thousands more:
