Have a bit of fun.

Hull City, the best team in the league, set up as a 4-3-3.

BFC dinosaurs want 4-4-2 with a big lad up top.

Not going to happen.

We've recruited some great players.

The systems' Critchlcey wants will take 2 or 3 years to implement correctly.

4-4-2 will get some points on the table in 2 circumstances?

1. The opposition is crap.

2. You really want to go for it (as Pompey did in the second half)

Big'un + little un has some value but is a joke in morn football.

Winning methods require a certain longevity.

If we play 4-4--2 Hull will walk away with 2 points.

If I have tomorrow, which I don't think will be the case. I"ll scrutinise the way Shrewsbury approached their game agaisnst Hull last weekend.

We don't have the forwards to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-1-3 or any of its variants at the moment. Always said he'll need another two transfer windows. Getting the best system out of the options he has at this time.

Hull City's 'testing week' takes tough turn to Blackpool as Grant McCann hopes for change

Grant McCann admits things are not about to get any easier for Hull City, after Saturday’s disappointing 1-0 defeat to struggling Shrewsbury Town.

The Tigers were second best throughout at the KCOM Stadium, deservedly falling behind to a 27th minute Charlie Daniels finish — a goal they never really recovered from.

For all their possession in a slightly improved second half display, McCann’s shot-shy side failed to muster a single effort on target in a match for the first time this season.

There’s no time for feeling sorry for themselves, though, with a trip to Blackpool to come tonight before a mouth-watering battle with third-placed Peterborough in front of the television cameras at the KCOM Stadium on Friday evening, their final outing before Christmas.

“It was always going to be a testing week, with the three games in six days. We’ve got see who is fresh for Blackpool and ready to go,” McCann said.

“The pitch got a wee bit heavier out there with the amount of rain that come down, so that’s going to take a bit out of the boys’ legs.”

The Tigers will certainly be without Alfie Jones and Callum Jones for the trip to the seaside, while McCann will hope for good news on George Long, who is understood to have missed Saturday’s game with a knock - and there also remains doubt on the fitness of Martin Samuelsen.

With two games in three days, it’s likely the manager will freshen things up for the Bloomfield Road trip, meaning there could be a first start for Keane Lewis-Potter since the FA Cup win over Fleetwood last month.

“We’ll pick a team that’s right to go to Blackpool to try and get a result," he said.

“We’ve got quite a quick turnaround before we play Portsmouth on Friday night.”

As I'd hoped, tonight's line up resembles the one we put out for Portsmouth.

A 4-4-2 would've been suicide against Hull - a team adept at playing 4-3-3.

It won't happen but I'd like Kaikai in a central role behind Yates.

Looks like a 4-5-1/4-2-3-1, with Anderson pushing up to support Yates, maybe.

I hope their full backs get carried away, push foward too much, and Hamilton exploits the vacant space.

1-1 Yates. Cross from Garbutt. Agree with what Colin G said about the goal as well.
