Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.

He's got the credentials, more than we could've asked for, his record's there for everyone to see.
What do we need from McCarthy? - An instant impact. Possible. - An organised team, hard to beat and a nightmare to play against. Check. - Play players in their correct position - fingers crossed. - Set the team up to get the most out of what we've got (2 up top, defensive mids who can tackle and fight their corner etc etc) - He's got a logical down to earth approach - fingers crossed. - Instill belief into the players. He can do that. - WIN 24 POINTS FROM 19 GAMES.
I didn't put get the players to work like Trojans because our players have always given their all.
My one concern - The effects of age and a long career. Is he washed up / damaged goods like Grayson was?
It's always a gamble but I think this one's worth taking. McCarthy is streets ahead of Appleton as a manager. Right here and now this gives me hope of getting out of the mire.

Welcome Mick, and well done to Simon Sadler and the team for getting this doneðŸ‘

"I’ve got mates in the game who tell me I’m mad, that I’m off my head going back in"
At 63 years of age and after 1,000+ games in management, Mick McCarthy could be forgiven for putting his feet up - but that's the last thing he wanted to do 👇https://t.co/kAyFk7G5Lo
