Anyone think O'Hara will return next season
at 17:44 31 May 2015

Looks from the paper speculation as if he has much better offers on the table ...

HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Blackpool midfielder Jamie O'Hara is a target for Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

Blackpool face a major battle to keep hold of former Tottenham midfielder O'Hara following their relegation from the Championship.

O'Hara joined Blackpool last November after ending an unhappy spell at Wolves and he caught the eye at Bloomfield Road.

The 28-year-old was Blackpool's stand-out performer in a disappointing season for the side and he was named the club's Player of the Season by supporters.

O'Hara has been offered a new deal by Blackpool, but a number of clubs are waiting in the wings to land the former England Under-21 man on a free transfer.

What terribly sad news - always upsetting when someone works their whole life looking forward to their retirement and fails to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

Probably Blackburn's equaliser at Ewood Park - the day I realised our Premier League status was all but done.

o/t Anyone miss Alan Hansen this season?
at 11:18 26 May 2015

Whilst I'm a big fan of MOTD I have to say that there was something missing with the absenceof Alan Hansen.

Lawrenson is just a scruffy Nobber, Savage talks absolute nonsense, Mills is a decent enough pundit and whilst Alan Shearer may have had football feet he doesn't have a football brain.

Seems to me the BBC are lurching from one set of deadwood to the other and need a pundit who actually knows what he's talking about and isn't afraid to say it,

What do you want from a new manager?
at 11:13 26 May 2015

Just be nice to have a manager the crowd can get behind. Whilst Jose Riga was a fans favourite, let's face it he did very little other than stand up to Oyston to chant his name for. Ince and Clark were disasters and Appleton didn't stand around long enough.

Who was the last manager we asked to give us a wave! Whoever comes in has to have widespread appeal or like Clark they are on to a loser before they start unless they go on an amazing run of form (and from memory fans didn't even back Ince when he achieved that!).

OneDaveBamber did a great countdown last season ..
at 11:11 26 May 2015

Bearing in mind that a manager isn't going to be in situ and ready to bring in new players until the end of the month then you may as well knock another 9 days off the available time. I reckon 16 players are needed in 30 days of June and so we need a player every other day .. could prove interesting!

What do you want from a new manager?
at 11:09 26 May 2015

OK, so it seems pretty difficult to forecast who the new manager is and so what do you look for?

I would like one who will bring through young talented players and not rely on old has beens week in, week out
I would like someone who plays open, attractive football but also who invests in a defence that you don't have to worry everytime the opposition breaks
Finally I'd like someone with a bit of charisma who will make pre-match and post-match interviews something you want to listen to and not avoid.

Average attendance last season
at 19:46 25 May 2015

Interested so many people think we could go down to the next division. Personally I think we've found our level and whether we go any higher or increase our attendances is now down to manager, players. chairman and ambition.

Karl doesn't show much emotion about much but he hates PNE are dare I suggest this weekend may even have hurt him?

How much did we get in the end for Tom Ince?
at 09:30 25 May 2015

You get the feeling that Tom Ince has driven over a few black cats in his time - doing well at Blackpool and then his Dad arrived and screwed it up, went to Hull and was a disaster and ended up on loan at Derby. Derby screwed up their promotion and Hull screwed up staying in the Prem!!

Tam - what was that statement with regards to and what damages were caused? If the club gets a fine for the pitch invasion do they intend to pass it on to those responsible?

Short term-ism seems to be Karl's philosophy on running a football club. He must have shat himself when we got in the Prem! We were hardly ready when we got promoted to League One 14 years ago! Therein lies the whole problem with the club and sadly why a Parliament is being set up to appease fans but when you have a Chairman who is so dismissive of them and does it his own way away then it's a bit of a waste of time.

You tend to find that Play Off finals don't pull that many surprises and they go with form and the better team and so I'd expect a PNE win

Democracy at the seaside? by Basilrobbiereborn

Good to see that the asylum hasn't quite been taken over and I say that with no disrespect or distain for anyone who has their rightful means to protest. However, as the Twitter reaction thread on here suggests there are many now who have written off the Oystons and with it the club and they are deluding themselves if they think they are just going to walk away. Flogging a few shirts won't result in fans being able to buy the club. We have to, as fans, make the most of our the dire position we're in and grasp opportunities like this and show the O's we are not just a commodity, we are the club. Agree that groups should be represented as ST holders should be. There'll never be a clean slate but disrupting a Neil Diamond concert will not lead to us having a say in what happens at our club - this might!
