Watch me rise up and leave, all the ashes you made out of me – Report
at 22:09 29 Apr 2024

Thanks mon ami I hope your recovery is going well, so far I think I'm doing well, lots of new treatments out there and once you get in the system you hear of people with far worse scenarios.

Have to echo your sentiment of QPR is my life that made me smile, my first season was 66/67 as a kid seeing an amazing team win the Third Division and League Cup Final, I was hooked, it's been in my veins ever since.....

Thanks Terry much appreciated i made the Preston game and walking back to the station felt we were nearly there just needed another result of some sort to drag us to safety, I had a gut feeling that we could get something from Leeds because Marti was definitely building momentum but I never expected the amazing performance of Friday night, I was hoping to sneak a point if I'm honest.

It must be great being up in Ipswich at the moment we did them a massive favour and they know it, our family up there are Ipswich fans so I'm constantly reminding them how much they owe us, I was in their club shop just before Xmas with my QPR coat on buying the grandson an Ipswich top.

Thanks so much for the report superb stuff as ever I've watched nearly every video clip I can of the evening I am still gutted that I couldn't make the game after being at all the other home games.

I'm in the same boat as Enfield, I had an operation last Tuesday on my prostate, which I'm told went well so i very reluctantly couldn't go, jeez the relief to know we had won and relegation was a thing of the past was massive. We sit on the edge of R block and I've watched the videos and felt the atmosphere, that was a very special evening indeed.

I've stopped worrying about relegation and found something else to replace it, will Marti be with us next season, please please please don't go mate, you have relit the fire and we finally have a genuinely class act of a Manager to build our future.

Mate we've been through it three times, it's gut wrenching it's 100% like losing some part of your family, I guess if your not a dog lover you don't understand.

We had 2 Cavalier King Charles , Louis and Ralph , they are the most brilliant dogs, lost them both a couple of years ago, fortunately they lived to a very good age for their pedigree, that's twice now we've been to the vets and stayed with our dog whilst the injection is given, it's tough but you just have to be there......

Thoughts with you mon ami....

Player of the season
at 10:37 21 Apr 2024

Steve Cook wins it for me for his excellent performances and his leadership qualities on the pitch, its a no brainer for Marti to make him Captain next season, JCS was MOM yesterday and would come runner up, it has to be a defender.

Trouble is if they were the worst team what does that make us, they outplayed us first half, we just didn't compete all over the park, Hayden, Willock and Anderson had a nightmare or alternatively couldn't be arsed when up against a team like something out of valley of the Giants.

Historically Wednesday seem to always produce big strong teams and they out muscled us in most areas of the pitch plus their desire to win was far greater than ours, it was a physical game that some of our players just didn't want to get involved in.

As for wanting them to stay up before yesterday I had no wish for any other club to go down as I'm superstitious and think it brings bad luck BUT after the way their players celebrated at the end in front of R block goading the fans I 100% want them to go down, they are easily beatable you just have to give total commitment, combine that with teamwork and skill and you get a result like Ipswich had at Portman Road, 6-0 if I recall correctly.

Gob Brummin is a comin - a QPR match thread
at 09:08 29 Mar 2024

FWIW don't underestimate Brum they have some good players in their squad, let's face it they had the money to get the Stansfield deal done and he's the sort of striker we are missing.

Its a real bummer that they have brought Rowett back he will get them organised and make them hard to score against, this is a massive game I just hope we can win any way possible, whoever scores first will have the upper hand and my prayer mat is out that it's the boys in the blue and white hoops, pre match nerves kicked in already.

Are we £400 million in debt....... NO

Don't believe some of the stuff you read, the owners, mainly Ruben have absorbed the debt by converting it into shares....

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers
at 09:37 14 Mar 2024

Yeah I know what you mean they are as irritating as Feck....... , that said there's thousands of genuine fans who don't deserve to see their club dismantled by yet another owner who thought he could mistakenly make money from a football club in the Championship, it's possible yes but it's like going to a casino and putting all your money on black, it's a gamble.

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers
at 09:16 14 Mar 2024

To be honest all the years we have been competing against Reading in the Championship I couldn't stand them, the whole competition of who wore the Blue and White Hoops first got tedious, they never wear a proper shirt anyway and then hordes of kids turning up to act like some sort of mob.

That said I feel sorry for them now, no club should have to go through the shit that Dai Yonge has put them through, where the F is the fit and proper test which the Football Lesgue are supposed to carry out, the Football League is responsible for this mess, they should have much tighter controls over who is allowed to purchase a club and how they are allowed to control the clubs assets.

Sorry Ted I know how much you despise them for all the crap they put you through when building the stadium but there must be thousands of decent fans out there having their club ripped apart.

Note for anyone who isn't sure this is what real shit owners are like, this could be QPR if Ruben didn't keep pumping the money in and yes I've read years of posts about our financial disaster once we achieved Premiership status, that's the tenure of Fernandes, Beard, Hughesless and Redcrap for you.....

Sam Field - New Contract
at 08:48 9 Mar 2024

Superb got the alert on my phone yesterday, best message of the day, great to read how much he loves our club, he's been a role model for other players as to how hard you need to work and has delivered some excellent performances, he was certainly instrumental in helping us stay up last year when everything was falling apart.

This season I felt he wasn't at his best at times before Marti arrived but then nobody was and they were all battling to try and get results under Gareth which just wasn't working for all the reasons previously discussed. I don't think he was ever helped playing alongside Dozzell, at times it felt like he was attempting to play like two men to cover for Dozzells lack of drive and commitment, nothing personal against Dozzell I hope he finds a new lease of life elsewhere.

Grateful for Nourry enlightening me that Sam can comport himself, really how many times mate do you use that in conversation, give it a rest....

Darnell Furlong well played
at 10:12 7 Mar 2024

You took the words right out of my mouth, was heartened to see Darnell clapping the fans what an excellent professional, loyal to the club and I'm quite sure he would have stayed if the clubs finances hadn't dictated we had to sell him.

Absolutely loved the song there's only two Furlongs, his dad a very good player for the club and still coaching for the Hoops must be massively pissed off, think the club may well take a look.

Exactly we were 8 points adrift at one stage and now we think we can pick and choose who goes down, I don't think so, after the situation we have been in lets just be grateful if we survive it's not us and on current form we have a good chance.

What a day that was it encapsulated everything that makes going to games exciting, losing at half time to a team two divisions higher in a Cup Final and the League Cup actually meant something in those days.

The feeling at half time that we could never come back, the absolutely brilliant solo goal from our Rodneeee running from the half way line, what a finish and the whole momentum of the game changed, there was only going to be one winner and Alec Stocks team were magnificent.

That season was the platform for the building of the Rs for future seasons, a team who you expected to win every league game and played such exhilarating attacking football, it was a joy for it to be my first season supporting the Hoops at the age of 12 and what has become my only addiction in life......

Please can someone have a LOUD word (or MORE) in Begovic's ear
at 09:20 4 Mar 2024

Exactly the continuing sniping at Begovic doesn't help the team cause, Ainsworth was looking for Senior pros to help rebuild the team which as we all know last season was a complete shambles.

Experienced players were definitely needed to attempt to build some team spirit, Begovic has 11 games left on his contract lets get behind him and support him, if people think he's on 32k a week they are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Stan Bowles
at 09:49 25 Feb 2024

Jeez don't know where to start I must have seen virtually every single home game he played and a couple away from home, we were so gutted to lose Marsh to City we thought he could never be replaced.

Then Jago goes and signs a lad from Carlisle that we had never heard of and he sets Loftus Road alight with his his skill, flair and commitment once he crossed the line and got on the pitch. Such a character in those days where you were always hearing of him being in the bookies just before the game, the culture has changed over the years but then he was always our lovable rogue.

Rest in Peace Stan you have thousands of people who you gave great pleasure to and will all fondly remember you, it's an honour to have a season ticket in the Stanley Bowles stand.

Willock for me as well because of his overall contribution and Colback a close second, he had another good game and Hayden let him down big time in the first half, very disappointed with him after all the fanfare.

Always crashing in the same car – Column

So the problem is not the set of accounts just published for 22/23 but trying to stay within the £39 million with this years set of accounts and making serious savings on the Expenditure budget.

Just a thought and question, so Rubén and Amit have sponsored the training ground, stadium and South Africa Road stand on 3 year deals, bearing in mind they have an even better understanding of the Finances via the clubs Finance Director is it possible and financially legal that they could have paid all three years payments in one go to balance against this years set of accounts.
