When standards drop, the rot sets in. Hope QPR invest some money in Loftus Road, even if just for the short term, standards matter. [Post edited 12 May 21:35]

We’ve made about £13m out of Sterling though - and it wasn’t really QPR’s failure to keep him; rather a case of QPR being shafted by the rules. |

…John Barnes. …actually, did he ever play for us (youth level) or was he just a local fan that our scouts missed out on? |

To be fair, even under warburton (for all the great stuff he did); there was still a bit of “we’ve got less money / what do you expect” about it. |

I agree - i would be surprised if there are clubs interested in him frankly. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a climb down from his agent/dad when it comes to it. Such a shame. There were times a couple of years ago when people were seeing Willock as the next Eze in terms of ability. Look how the two have diverged. Partly due to an unfortunate injury for Willock, but mainly due to his approach to ‘playing’ the contract game. Eze played his heart out week on week, signed a new deal the year before leaving to increase his stock and then continued to work and work - getting a very savvy move to an established premier club and now look at him. Willock has turned it on and off to preserve his ‘fitness’ so he might be able to get a bigger pay day at a bigger championship club. Such a shame and a waste - but his decision entirely. Sjoke and now Watford have rolled out of parachute payments, so it’s never that bad. + Leeds have a huge problem of unpaid transfer payments if they stay down, so they’ll be screwed and Southampton will be a year closer to losing parachute money if they don’t go up. [Post edited 4 May 8:29]

Reinstate 350 seats back in the ‘diabolical View’ section behind the floodlights etc and sell them for £45 each to away fans… that’ll fix the 10% problem. |

Going back to the top of this thread… if Ipswich do join the prem parachute payment club, don’t forget that Swansea, QPR, stjoke and Watford have exhausted said premier league payments so it does wash through. [Post edited 1 May 23:02]

All gathering in PU and QU as well. |

Especially after they gave it the nutty whallops in front of q block after their second goal the other week. |

Depends how you look at it… good riddance to a swathe of out of contract players at QPR this summer, or typical bad timing for QPR having most of the squad out of contract this summer thus recruiting at higher prices! [Post edited 13 Apr 10:49]

“If in doubt, kick it out” - footballing knowledge he muttered 32 years ago sat in front of that yellow gate when Alan McDonald punted the ball into the South Africa road stand - has stuck with a very ‘doubt filled’ QPR ever since! |

If he’s not going to prison and we can therefore get a decent fee - yes, sell. If he is going to prison and therefore we can’t get a decent fee, we should offer him an extended contract on our terms on the basis he will have security when he returns and we protect our asset against running a contract down, then build him back up again and sell in a year or two. |

Field has missed three or four sitters, so he would probably agree that he’s underachieved. |

I get that this year has been grim, but let’s be honest - everyone’s pre-season prediction was bottom three and best hope was 4th bottom… the fact that we’re a number of places above relegation with a great manager in position and top half based on form since January is better than anyone could have hoped? Shirley? …I hope this post ages well. |

The composition is called “The Final Score” and is available on YouTube, but annoyingly they’ve removed the video of the QPR v Leeds (1976) and QPR v Spurs (1992) mash-up. |
