TONY GREEN'S 75th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION *LIVE Premiere at 7PM tonight*
at 11:16 11 Nov 2021

On Friday the 5th November Jane and I attended an event at Blackpool Football Club which was organised by Chris Hull to celebrate Tony Green's 75th Birthday.
It was a fantastic night and I was there to record it for you all to see as there was only 350 tickets available and it was a sell out - such is the popularity of this former Blackpool FC Legend.

With a great selection of Former Blackpool players invited, a guest appearance from Liverpool Legend Ian Callaghan MBE and a zoom call from none other than former England and Newcastle Striker Malcolm McDonald all paying their tributes to a man that only played for 3 clubs and is in 'The Hall of Fame' at all 3 of them.

It was so cruel that his career was cut short with an horrific injury after only 39 appearances for Newcastle as many believe he would have gone on to be remembered as one of the all time greats, he is talked about in the same breath as George Best and today many question whether he could have been as good as Lionel Messi?

He only played 39 games for Newcastle after they signed him from Blackpool and he was awarded Man of the Match in nearly all of them such was his impact on Tyneside that he was inducted into their Hall of Fame on the 9th of July 2008.

I've enjoyed putting this video together for you all to see and I think it has been well worth it, I'm very pleased with how it has come out and I'm sure you are going to enjoy it🙂 it Premieres at 7pm so that you can join myself, Jane and Chris Hull in the LIVE Chat from 7pm

Yes at times the passing, the closing down, the driving forward was sublime.

I agree that is one of the best performances I've seen in a long time, we are improving all the time

Totally agree I think Carey has the potential to be something really special glad he got a start he was incredible. Don't know how certain players get missed but thankfully they do and very well scouted who ever scouted him.

Yes the Saramonics are ace just a bit of extra faff and I always regret forgetting to use them when I'm round the back of the stands or stood under an umbrella in the rain🤣

I think Sam's youtube channel is excellent and I genuinely think he was shocked at the atmosphere he tasted at Bloomfield Road when we played Fulham. It's another great video to watch and I loved how he saw the game exactly as we did.

I have a sneaky feeling we may now be his 2nd team he is definitely up for doing collaboration at Bloomfield Road next time🙂

Good afternoon everyone

I hope you are still buzzing if you watched that at home or travelled to Reading. I know a lot of you will have been waiting for this but, we didn't gat back until 3-30am on the coach I worked on it til 5am but was nowhere near so I've been back working on it since I got up. It's just finished uploading and processing for the last 40 minutes and now it's ready.

I actually have now words to describe the emotions of last night it has to be the greatest last 20 minute comeback away from home ever? I don't remember ever watching one in person Jane seems to remember Wrexham as the other one but that wasn't in the Championship in our 1st season back!!

Let me know what you thought for me Sonny Carey was MoTM what a player we have here on our hands he is going to go on to be an absolute star. Owen Dale looked very very good, Yates is on fire with 4 from 3 I deffo need to go out on the piss with him! 😅

For those of you that watch 'Footy Adventures' on Youtube (Seb watches it religiously) which is a fantastic football channel then look out for an interview with Sam at halftime and spoiler alert (he does come to the rescue a little later on)

I know it's a bit later than usual but I hope it brings you joy as you watch it all unfold

If you aren't subscribed to my channel or don't have notifications turned on then here is my video of Saturdays game.

For once I captured Jerry's Goal perfectly and the scenes from our travelling fans are amazing (my favourite video moment that I have filmed so far) it's such a shame we didn't go on to win as I thought at that moment we would.

I know most won't want to watch it because we didn't win which would be a shame as our travelling support is really something to see makes me very proud apart from these stupid smoke bombs (wish we could get rid of these don't see the point to be honest)

Thanks spell glad you enjoy watching them. I had no idea about Mick Ronson from Ziggy Stardust?

It's unusual that there is no mention as they seem to be very proud of their successful sons/daughters there was quite a few plaques and tributes around which you can read about in Jane's Blog as she was really taken by the way the remember these people

For those of you that enjoy watching these videos, the Hull one is now up on YouTube. It's well worth a stay over next time we play them if you fancy making a weekend trip of it. I had no idea that Hull was anything like it is and I think you will be surprised too if you have never been. We had a great time, 'The Deep' in Hull is incredible an absolute must visit, best breakfast ever? that has to be Nibbles

To see what it was like here is our video

Yes it feels that way at the moment we just haven't got it quite right and we are not taking our chances when we are dominating week in and week out.

I was pleased to hear how frustrated NC was in his post match interview he gave it to the team with both guns blazing.

I hope they figure out how to improve on this because if we do it could be a very exciting season and if we don't? it could be a fight to the end for survival!

Don't know what you all think but it felt like a loss last night. I thought Hull deserved the draw the kept the ball so much better than we did.

If we could have played like we did after they equalised for the 35 minutes before then I think we would have won it.

A point away from home is better than nothing fingers crossed we play much better against T'Rovers on Saturday because that's not going to be easy and I can't stand them

Here is my video of the game

Still not 100% on Keogh he had a decent game but a couple of times his pace when chasing back especially was really quite alarming and his distrubtion when under the cosh scares me. However it was probably his best performance to date. Would like to see him rested some time and see what Oliver Kasey can do with big Marv.

Yes the team are gelling even quicker than last season who knows how this is going to pan out but I'm getting more optimistic game by game at the moment.

Massive game on Tuesday we will be there if you are going?

Yes we did hope we can start converting more of the chances, had the worry in those last 10 minutes that Barnsley could nick a point but we held strong. Table looks a lot better this morning 🙂👍

Honestly I still can't see anything marginal about it looks miles off to me.

But yes the free kick looked soft (but we never score from them anyway so that's a miracle)

And yes I'll take the 3 points we were the better side on the day

What a day yesterday, what a comeback. You can see clearly as I was sat bang in line that the Middlesbrough goal was so offside it was untrue. It totally ruined the 1st half for me I just couldn't believe that that could stand it was truly ridiculous.

However, it didn't matter MG Whittard came to the rescue with a birthday gift for Jane of a lucky Orange Aero and it worked wonders as Blackpool mounted an amazing fightback in the 2nd half I just love the team spirit we are developing (Tuesday forgotten all about we lick our wounds and go again)

I captured everything, the goals and the incredible tangerine support I am sure if you are a Blackpool fan that you are going to love this one

FA CUP 1st Qualifying Round Squires Gate v North Shields
at 17:13 6 Sep 2021

Okay something a little bit different (and O/T) here is some local non league football for you. On Saturday Squires Gate FC were at home in the FA Cup 1st Round Qualifier and with no football we went down to see if they could make history and get through this round for only the 2nd time in their history. Jane likes the club and the people down there and we try and do our best to try and promote them because it's a great little club and they are always glad of any help we can give.

The FA Cup is a massive competition for non league and a run in this can bring so much needed revenue to a club the size of Squires Gate FC. What a shame the FA went against the wishes of the Premier League to allow more money to filter down to non league and grassroots football. What they did was reduce the amount of money given to these clubs which makes no sense to me?

Anyhow I hope you enjoy this video as Squires Gate have drawn a home tie in the next round and this may just encourage one or two of you to go down and give them some support in the next round. I can assure you if you have not taken in a game a Squires Gate you will be given such a warm welcome you may just find yourself going down there more often

BLACKPOOL FC FAMILY TRAINING DAY( NEW VIDEO)
at 16:58 31 Aug 2021

So the BLACKPOOL FC FAMILY TRAINING DAY what was it LIKE?

Blackpool Football Club opened the doors to its stadium yesterday and welcomed in families to come along and watch the players training. The club did a couple of these before COVID hit and it was wonderful to see another one of these events being put on.

Children are the future of any club and to see so many of them dressed in tangerine and adoring the players was great to see. This is a great example of fan engagement so hats off to the club for making this day possible.

It was also the launch of new 3rd kit (which I really like) so I imagine it was perfect chance for them to get plenty sold so I guess it's a win win.

For those of you that for whatever reason couldn't make it down on Bank Holiday Monday this video is especially for you so that you can see what it was like.

Shame the PA system is so bad as it was hard to hear what Jerry Yates said I've done my best to subtitle Neil Critchley who was a little easier to hear but it's one of my pet gripes and I hope that they will someday do something about it.

They are a wonderful incentive by the club and as you will see if you watch the video they are extremely popular.

Yeah I don't want to keep mentioning referees but this was a tough one to take. Would definitely take a scabby win or a ref that gave us a few things. 4 players clearly offside for the winner really sticks in one's craw!

Geez that was hard to take, one of the worst reffing displays I think I have ever seen? (must rank in my top 10 of all time for sure) did you go? We went on the BSA coach so this video is a little different, must say a big thank you to them. Thought the free kick for the 1st goal was harsh, thought they took it about 5-6 feet closer than the actual incident as they appear to be beyond the 24 yard line but it is taken inside it. They looked offside to me for the winner but the referee was absolutely effin' diabolical.

Would have been such a good video if we could have hung on because as you'll see in it we put an incredible defensive shift in and deserved at least a point (if not more) in my opinion
