This potential takeover when completed puts any financial worries of the second season in non league due to windfall payments disappearing at ease. Even before the announcement of liquidation by the end of last month there was the looming second season approaching fast which I think would have finished us off without deep pockets. The offer to keep the club sustainable and with a competitive playing budget puts all those worries to bed for at least the near future.
I'm not expecting us to go out and do a Wrexham or Stockport and spend our way out of the league but to be competitive will do just finely after the last few seasons of worry.
Well that puts a different light on the WSH bid which at first glance I would have gone with over the other lot. Now it seems this first bid is clouded by shysters yet again. I think which ever way we go forward now there is going to be some shite heading our way.
I'm the opposite . One thing that immediately jumped out is property development is highlighted in their biography. The first lot have a footprint of owning a club and running it as a club as it should be. This new lot only have the fact one of them has been to three dale games in his life which is how I understood the write up.
On first glance I'd be putting my faith in the World Soccer lot
It will be GONE at the end of the month anyway if not voted in. What other alternative is there if we still want a club to support? Maybe the other investors that came out of the blue in the last week are just tyre kickers (where have they been the last year or so) or show no credibility straight away. These Americans seem to check out with experience in football already and a online footprint we can follow. The giving up of so much isnt great but what other choice is there.
Yeah Tully has my vote aswell. Even if it's for just for a few months Galloway can cause more harm to the towns reputation if he is voted in. Only interested in himself not the town of Rochdale and it's people
Paul Waugh amongst the shortlist of three candidates. Hope it's him seeing as he's a daley. One of the others is a Burnley supporter and the other a Wigan councillor so common sense would say he's the prime choice
Local councillor Rachel Massey wants to stand but being the Children's services Chair I'd say it would be suicidal for the party as it would be used as ammunition due to past tragedies the town has recently suffered
Definitely looks like a strong candidate as the Tories and the likes of reform will target this by election bringing in strong candidates. Whispers that comrade russian spy farage could be standing for reform.
I'm afraid only having three subs today has signalled this is the beginning of our huge fight to save our club. The board have exhausted all the available funds they had available and now it is showing in the match day squad. Injuries have hit us very hard and we just don't have any money or personnel to replace those players. This is the time to stand up and fight or we will be heading for extinction. Have you got the balls for the fight ?????!!!!!!
