BHOK.

KO just isn't up to the job. He isn't a businessman; he's arrogant; he's stubborn; he always has to win. He hasn't got the faintest idea about business or football, how to lead or motivate people.

His father does and also has a certain charm that can win people over. He also knows perfectly well what his son's failings are but isn't able or prepared to do what needs to be done and replace him. He may be hoping the FA do it for him and then the above scenario becomes more possible.

Osbourne's predictions for the Pool road to safety

To be honest you can't resist such positivity. So for sheer optimism and the time thinking about it ... One of those thumbs up thingys.

Not a chance of course but it still made me smile.

AK. Post your link on the other site and you'll get a ton easily.

If BFC fans showed half the passion the Os would have been gone long before now.

21 March Leeds game PROTESTS
at 20:30 20 Feb 2015

Wizaard you are right that we will never achieve a 100% boycott, but increasingly even those who paid in advance for STs aren't going. And there will be critical points in time when it won't just be drip, drip; such as when people have to decide whether they want to give more money to the Os and renew the STs. At those moments there will be a dramatic drop off and empty seats speak volumes (although perhaps not as much as cash flow).

In the meantime, if you have already shelled out, then attend by all means but please be vocal and shout out your opposition to the current regime. And please, please don't spend any money in the ground. I know a pie and a pint don't cost much but sometimes small things carry a big message; to both sides.

Foolish to think Riga takes no blame
at 07:30 18 Feb 2015

The better analogy is the Belgian taxi driver who gets a call to Claughton Hall. On arrival a man with a strange haircut comes out to greet him, pushes three strange men in tangerine into the back seat and then commands the driver "Take them to Bloomfield Road to watch a thrilling game of football".

At the same time he leans across the taxi driver and takes the keys from the ignition.

"Take them to Bloomfield Road I said" and then the man with the funny haircut jumps around, waving the keys for all to see and smirking.

The taxi driver thinks to himself "this chap is not the full Belgian Euro" but then even more bizarrely the three men in tangerine start to shout from the back of the taxi "Take us to Bloomfield Road for the thrilling football, you horrible man. We want football, we want football. We will miss the game AND IT''S ALL YOUR FAULT!".

The taxi driver sits there fuming for a while, wondering what to do, but in the end he just concludes the English are very odd, and he's better off going to a different country.

Can't let go
at 21:20 15 Feb 2015

If you believed in the Riga revolution and renewed your ST, then it is entirely possible to attend matches and still be NAPM. As people say, they have your money already so what is the point of not going?

But, equally others are entitled to have their own opinions. And if, while you are there, you give money to the Os in the knowledge that it will be used to fund litigation against the likes of Tim Fielding and other supporters - well then are you surprised if emotions run high?

But I agree fan on fan attacks are counter productive and we should all focus on the real problem.

So end of thread for me.

.....keep saying "this is my club and they aren't going to take it off me"?

Errr.....they have. And that's because we have allowed them to do so.

Switch from moaning about it to doing something to get it back.

Start tomorrow. Go to the protest and not the match.

Supporting the Club is not the same as supporting the team.

Interview with Valeri in Gazette today
at 08:22 12 Feb 2015

VB could force the Os to sell if he could persuade the courts to award a buy order in his favour. The grounds for the action could include, amongst other things, that the company has been run in a way that is unfairly prejudicial to his position as a minority shareholder. In other words, the Os wouldn't have to be willing sellers.

Equally he could use the action to force them to buy him out and realise his investment. I'd like to take him at his word and assume he's looking to stay rather than exit but I don't suppose anyone outside of his inner circle knows for sure.

I had understood from other press statements that litigation was in hand but the Gazette articles suggest not. Perhaps VB is just playing games and this is part of the leverage to get them into a dialogue? Time will tell I suppose but I am feeling more down having read the Gazette articles than I was before.

A very real scenario.

In football, as in business, you have to invest in order to be successful.

KO just doesn't get that. For him it's all about avoiding spending and going for the cheapest option when he can't avoid spending. His priority is protecting his inheritance, not BFC. Couple that with the fall off in revenue that's inevitable after relegation, and .......... well you can see why many might regard L2 as inevitable.

Basil

I think the Os are taking the low hanging fruit first.

There are others being targeted for asking perfectly legitimate questions; questions that come too close to home for the Os.

And I am not just talking TAM.

The time for sitting on the fence and keeping your counsel is passed.

Wizard. You are absolutely right in what you say. More apologies will follow. But there is a trend emerging that probably wasn't anticipated by the Os.

The apologies won't be taken seriously by the wider fan base and aren't scaring everyone into silence. They are in fact having the opposite effect and enraging fans even more. And on the eve of a well publicised demo!

The fall of most dynastys has started with a vicious reaction from the dynasty in question but the attempt at suppression usually has the opposite effect.

And with Latvian Bankers lurking in the background.

The end game I suspect.

Reply From FSF Regarding Two Year ST Refunds

I'd understood the new articles adopted last year included drag along rights, where the majority can force the minority to join in any sale. Haven't checked though so don't know if that's right or what the percentages were re the VB shareholding.

Is it time to start preparing for next season?
at 21:14 19 Jan 2015

BHOK. Glad you used the word reality.

The reality is that the plan you suggested is eminently sensible.

As you seem to acknowledge the reality is that it won't happen.

That isn't though, as you imply, the fault of the fans. They won't be the ones to bring the club down.

So my question remains, should KO go?

Theoretical question; bit like your original post.
