Thought Lemina was immense today. Shane Long was brilliant as well. He was a real nuisance for the Palace defence. Still think we need to tweak the attack. Perhaps Boufal in for Redmond next week.

An improvement. How does Redmond get a game????

Composed performance. Lemina , man of the match. Hoedt also outstanding. Good performances from Long and Foster. Have we turned the corner? Next week will tell, hopefully confidence has returned.

Excellent away performance against a team low on confidence, but a potential banana skin for us as they have the new manager.
Lemina was the stand-out player as we bossed the midfield, but excellent supporting roles from Romeu, Long and Hoedt. I predicted a 1-0 win on the predictions league on this site, but can honestly say I would have gone for FF before naming Davis as the first goal scorer !!
Great to see FF make some important saves and nice to get the clean sheet.
Mixed responses from the fans when VvD came on, but he will be fine once he has put in a few decent performances.
A far bigger test looms next week, but hey, let's enjoy the moment and a sweet victory against a team who has officially had the worst ever start to the Prem after 5 games - 5 defeats and no goals scored !!

Didn't see the game so can't comment, nice to see a win and for the one negative comment a little perspective would be good. Liverpool, spuds all draw against teams they should be beating comfortably. Everton have spent how much as have Bournemouth and where has that got them?

Wow, what a difference a week makes. Saints in total control from the start and a well taken poach from Davis. Hoedt made some glorious passes and Lemina was superb from start to finish. Brave changes from the manager which paid off although Redmond is out of touch at the moment and made a few awful mistakes. Forster made a couple of cracking and brave blocks which was brilliant to see after last week's poor performance. Bit worried about Romeu - he seems to be low on confidence and the ball-winning play and distribution is missing at the moment. Long did well and got in their faces - could be even better with Gabbiadini alongside. Should have taken my blood pressure pill before the game, though.

Redmond.....runs around but thats it. Not a team player
Need two up front maybe VvD to win the ball and hold up play for others. Strange I know but why not.
Too many square passes and too many balls sideways only Lemina looked to create stuff.
Tadic could be great but how many times does he lose the ball or hit the cross against the first man.
FF did very well and boost his confidence
Very strange how many times during the Saints players put their foot on the ball and stopped, sometimes game was like a friendly. Must move the ball quickly plus players move quickly into space and provide options, unless of course there is a sideways or backwards pass. Poor game against a poor team. Lemina MOM

Good win against poor opposition. Nice to see FF make a couple of saves. Lemina looks like a record signing for all the right reasons! Long should get a run in the side after that performance. I am also impressed with Hoedt.

Just the one big negative and that is Nathan Redmond. This was a game where as Palace pressed forward in the second half they were ripe for the picking on the break. Long and Tadic were willing but where was Redmond? His only notable contribution was the mistake that led to Benteke's chance in the first half. Replace him with a quality attacking MF player (dare I say in the Mane/Lallana mould) and we would surely have got the second and more to make it safe. Ultimately it didn't matter in this game but it could have done...

Workman like performance early goal was crucial in this game. I like loftus cheek on there side but he was the only standout there. All our players stepped up from last week. I think with this solid defence we have can now build in a few ways. We should go more direct and not so much fancy stuff great possession though .
