"The irony of a questioner who was pleased the technology at the club had improved made me laugh" Aye! That was myself, just looking to add to the positivity and give the top table an open goal to tell us how they'd been dealing with the problems we've had in the past (not just the livestreams) but unfortunately it wasn't really taken up. I think everyone was just waiting for the match to start by that point - we're not used to so much positivity |

I could be wrong, but i think Galloway merely said that his party would be fielding a candidate against Rayner |

The Ogdens are unlikely to be interested in any historical animosity between the two codes, although they might become interested if either club were to continue displaying hostility towards the other It's just an idea, but would it be worth the Dale Trust issuing a joint statement with Hornets (if they have a Trust, or if not, just with leading supporters) along the lines that the only way forward is mutual respect and a joint commitment to work together to the benefit of both clubs As you say, without both, the likelihood is that neither would now exist in their current form |

I don't disagree from one point of view - i could barely watch for a good deal of last season Let's see what Monday - and the upcoming payday for many - brings |

In respect of which, it can't be repeated often enough that the overall focus of the Ogdens is to enable a self-sustaining community-based asset... regardless of the status of the football club There's an aim to try to return to the EFL within three years, but the overall aim won't change whether that's achieved or not. They themselves are unlikely to have much input into the footballing side, being unaware of the deep trouble the club was in only a few short weeks ago As 442 says earlier, we'll know a fair bit more following the forum next Monday |

I'll be getting a Your Card again, but waiting a few weeks. As you say, it doesn't stop phone purchase or buying direct at the ticket office but it'd be useful to know if there's a generic issue with online purchase (i.e. anyone else having the same problem) Cheers [Post edited 28 May 18:14]

Just speculating here, but could it be there's a link between why you've not been receiving email info from the club and the logging-in issue you're having? Summat to do with your registered details (even though i think you've tried to clarify this with the club)? |

The ground adjacent to Holker St (Barrow FC) is used by Furness Rovers, with the rugby league club playing about a mile away on Duke St |
| Forum Thread | Advert for First Team Physical Performance coach at 13:20 24 May 2024
https://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/news/2024/may/jobadvert_physicalperformancecoach/ A great opportunity for someone and fresh input at Dale, but the salary of around £30k looks at the bottom end of 'low side' to me, in comparison with the responsibilities. (I'm thinking of roles within the major organisation in which i worked which were at that level with less responsibility) Obviously, we're in a period of reviewing all expenditure. Anyone know what comparable salaries are at clubs at our level? Also, would that be the starting salary with annual increments? If not, it'd be granting experience to someone whose eyes will always be looking elsewhere to increase their income [Post edited 24 May 13:21]

Agree with much of that I keep reading "Hopefully that will change this season" in various contexts. I'm pretty sure things will be changing off the field whilst remaining sceptical about on the field All i've seen is a too-rigid system with in-game lack of thought and flexibility. Slight increase to the playing budget or not, i see little or no improvement in individual players which is what the Odoh/Kelly points highlight - rather, the opposite |

Has he developed, or has he been developed by better coaching? There's a bit of a pattern here, with Kelly instrumental in getting Crawley promoted. Tbf, i didn't rate him but if he wasn't being utilised correctly that can create the wrong impression. By correctly, i mean further up the field [Post edited 21 May 22:37]

I seem to recall him playing in a variety of positions, our own version of Paul Madeley; but he made the right back position his own and of course, went on to set the record for Dale appearances |

Edit... Radcliffe scored in the 6-0 win over BPA in November and i think he got an injury since the back four were playing well as a unit, but as you say, once Smith got his chance we were probably even stronger [Post edited 21 May 20:45]

Thanks, so Chris Dagnall equalled it then Is that the most by a Dale player, or did someone like Albert Whitehurst score more hat-tricks? |
| Forum Reply | Hat tricks at 18:59 20 May 2024
No mention of Reg Jenkins in this thread yet Does anyone have a stat on the number of hat tricks he scored for Dale? |
