I don’t care who goes up but at the end of the day Leeds got 90 points over the season so it’d be wrong for a team that got 10-15 points less to go up instead. Not a fan of playoffs - confected drama made for tv.
Surely an obvious place for us to go shopping is in the 3 squads going up. A lot of them won’t get a game in the Prem but are still good championship level players. Steve Cook a perfect example.
Maybe it was having the benefit of close ups watching on tv but I was quietly confident from 1-0. Saw the looks of terror on the faces of the Leeds players who were looking like bottling it with the clincher being Daniel Farke slumped on the bench after Chair scored with arms folded looking depressed already. Confirmed my gut feel at 2-0 so I just relaxed and enjoyed it after that.
Game finished at 4am here so had to confine myself to a silent scream and fist pump so as not to wake the family. Dog looked at me as if to say WTF are you doing? 🐶
The main thing that drives me crazy about Dykes is how static he is in the box. He never tries to get ahead of a defender when a cross is coming in and just doesn’t seem to anticipate where to move to attack the ball. Scoring is instinctive and I’m afraid he just doesn’t have a strikers instinct. I have no idea why any coach ever thought he was a striker.
