Surprised there is no post. Or is is simply too embarrassing for the usual commentators that racist, white terrorism is a problem in the US and indeed the UK? |

The ghouls are out on social media linking Shane’s passing to Covid vaccines. Shane was seriously ill due to Covid in the past. |

In the comments of the Guardian "Well, that's enough about my poor Throstles. It's time for the really important stuff. That's right, its the All Bird Intra Bird Tableâ„¢. We're on the brink of history here, folks. With each team only having one game left to play the Swans have a chance to become the first invincible bird team (and I mean truly invincible. No draws, only wins.) in recorded history (which to be fair has probably only been a couple of years). The Swans are on 15 points having won all five of their bird derbies so far. They've already locked up the title but they will make their bid for immortality when they play their last game against another team called after a bird on 2 April. And guess who they're playing. Yep, you got it. The Bluebirds!! Mercy, you couldn't make this stuff up! The Bluebirds have really been scratching around the bottom of the cage this season and are already guaranteed last place with a disgraceful tally of one point from five games but their motivation in that game should be ratcheted up to levels rarely seen. It's gonna be a barn burner and a bean blower! I can't wait. (And if anyone cares (haha) the other remaining bird battle left this season will feature the Robins hosting the Throstles on 19 March. The winner will secure second place and a draw will see the Throstles stay in second and the Robins in third." What more incentive to be the Avian Invincibles. |

Despite clear gaps in testing. I think some people posting on here in recent weeks need to wake up to the understanding that Omicron, although a lesser individual risk, represents a risk to the population. A third of London Fire Brigade missing through Covid After being ridiculed for suggesting we would be looking at 200,000 daily cases then some should be looking up the recipe for humble pie. Get vaccinated and get boosted, because the chance of infection is considerable |

Did you see the comments by the chief on MI6 over China? Very much like we both discussed on the Barbados thread. I really worry that we have got things badly wrong over the last decade. Trump’s ridiculous trade war did nothing but help extend Beijing’s influence |

Palace fans unfurled a banner yesterday at the Holmesdale End over the Saudi takeover of Newcastle and the apparent blindness of any fit and proper person test once the money is on the table. My view is that they were entitled to do that, To highlight an often brutal and murderous regime but seen as ‘our friends’. https://www.theguardian.com/uk/sport |

Is incredible. Complete conspiracy bunkum. For christ sake celebrate the fact that we don’t have 100s dying with the current case rate. No one is trying to control you. Just get vaccinated and protect lives. Enough. I speak this as an ordinary Joe. I want my daughter to go to university in September with proper teaching. I want my son to take his GCSEs next year and have a clear year without constant uncertainty. I want to go back to my office and my lab to do what I do well. Not zoom followed by teams and recording lectures and virtual lab meetings. Vaccines, lockdowns or corpses. That’s the choice. Don’t be a selfish dicky, help yourself and help other. |

I was one of those who complained to Keith, not about a specific post but due too the consistent posting of conspiracy theories and material which is sailing very close to the wind in terms of extreme right wing politics. I would equally complain if this were extreme left-wing promoting violence, anti-semitism etc. I am sick of misogyny, xenophobia, thinly veiled racism and name calling. There is a clear right-wing cabal, who circle with material of some legitimate and some dubious sources-including some downright lies. We are all entitled to an opinion, but it clearly laughable to suggest there is a left-wing cabal. There are a few 'true' left wingers on here with strong convictions in their beliefs, but most of are us sit in a spectrum between the politics of Thatcherism and moderate socialism. Yet to express this view makes one a left, marxist, bullshitter and the other names tossed my way in recent months. Funny really as someone who believes in private enterprise and capitalism, albeit tempered with equality of opportunity. I am a Labour Party member, though left for a period under Corbyn's leadership as I considered this beyond my line of acceptability-so, yes I guess I site somewhere around the Blair/Brown degree of 'socialism'-or a Red Tory. I support the police, but equally will criticise where they blunder. That's how we can help improve policing. I'm not particularly 'woke' but dislike racism, homophobia and sexism. I equally have issues with over use of positive discrimination. Like all of us I have contradictions. Life is too short and precious to carry on arguing with those so far down a rabbit hole that the sunlight of humanity no longer reaches them. So thanks to those who have made my laugh, think and open up new discoveries-not exhaustively but Cattulus, Scotia, the late Fiery Jack, Gwyn, Chad, Joe Bradshaw, Lisa and Lohengrin-it's been a pleasure. Pikey-keep it up, your posts make me smile and Felixtowe-thanks for your commitment to updating the vaccine data. Keith-good luck and thanks for your work on here the last year.
