The final profit for the season should have been £263.59 as I had a horse winner on the last day aswell but who cares, apart from me and our regular reader. !!
Thanks again for your hard work and I think the Awayday reviews are the highlight of the site and its a shame you can't cover all of them but I suppose in your capacity of Supporter of the Year your official duties take up too much of your time.

24.08.1965 Villa 1 QPR 2 1st game of the season and my 18th birthday, travelled up to Birmingham looking forward to enjoying my first "legal beer" in a football ground. However the ban on booze in football grounds had come onto force so I was denied. Although I do remember the police searching people and asking to check people's bags and sniffing fruit and juice bottles as the rumour doing the rounds was that people were injecting oranges and apples with spirits to get round the ban. Until I read this I had forgotten it was Bannister with a brace that day. We could do with him today. |
