Kevin Blackwell on 22:43 - Nov 12 by GloryHunter | I've got to agree with this. On Saturday I went for a Gypsy's 20 minutes from time, and couldn't muster the enthusiasm to go back up to my seat. So I went home. The next day I went to see the Arse vs Spurs (mate had a couple of complimentaries). The football was generally entertaining, and sometimes thrilling (Spurs looking really good in spells). It reminded me of why I got hooked on going to football matches in the first place. We haven't had that experience down Loftus Rd for a long time. |
Warnock did a great job and has been promoted loads. The football has been pretty shit for ages with the odd blip. Can it get worse? Massively, it could go spectacularly relegation tits up. But equally given he's a promotion specialist I wouldn't be blown away if we creep up via the play offs. Point is saying you know for sure what happens next re results is pretty risky.

Hopefully by then we'll be top of the league with a genius in charge, if not I'll be back behind the sofa until the transfer window is over.
Kevin Blackwell on 23:47 - Nov 12 with 2609 views | queensparker | The last time I can remember watching a Rangers team playing to a plan, who all knew what they were supposed to be doing, and actually getting results, was under Warnock. Clinging onto that memory while watching the latest flip-flop from the board with hands over the eyes. Will this shambles ever settle down?

Kevin Blackwell on 21:16 - Nov 12 by paulparker | Because we were playing Brazilian like football under super Chris I seem to remember us tearing the championship a new one under the dinosaur that is Warnock |
We did indeed. But that was 5 years ago with Taarabt in form. That team was a one off. What has Warnock done since? Underwhelmed by Blackwell's appointment is an understatement. I'm actually surprised you haven't criticized this appointment PP. Its crap. I know you didn't like Ramsey but Kevin Blackwell coaching our so called premier league quality players is a joke. How the hell is this an improvement. The whole season is a joke.

Kevin Blackwell on 22:40 - Nov 12 by GetMeRangers | While some of that is true, there is a massive difference between some managers. There is also a difference between having good players and players playing as a team. Often with the latter you can achieve very much more than the sum of the parts. Take my native Northern Ireland. Few to choose from and little rotation a a result. They should never beat the far superior sides with talent oozing at the seams. I will go out on a limb here, but given the option of Les and CR or a part timer Warnock and Kevin Blackwell, there is no contest for me. I may have got this wrong, but I have seen suggestions that NW was in giving half time chats during the last couple of CR games? Can someone confirm this? |

My favorite subplot is the one where the caretaker is taking over and the DoF can't do anything because he's stuck in Malaysia with the shits. Genius. Welcome to the New QPR. It's like the Old QPR but shitter.
Kevin Blackwell on 08:01 - Nov 13 with 2417 views | JonDoeman | I remember always being impressed with their Sheff U team, & that was why I so pleased when Warnock came the first time! So some of the comments on this thread aren't true. I think Warnock should go when we get a new manager, but if its these two till the end of the season I doubt we'll play worse than we did under Ramsey & I would expect to do better.

Took over the madhouse that was Leeds and didn't do a bad job Palace was a strange one il give you that NW was never allowed to carry on or build on that championship winning team We could of had Routledge, Williams, Naughton, Bassong , Graham and if we did and NW wasn't stiffed that pre season then I don't think we would be in the mess we are in If Kevin Blackwell helps out NW for a few weeks then it isn't a problem The season was a joke when we appointed Ramsey who proved absolutely how out of his depth he was , he got the job as he was LF mate , we could of had Warburton but les stuck his neck on the line for Ramsey when even Stevie wonder could see it was an awful appointment So les should be held accountable for that On the other hand I agree that les should be DOF I like the signings he made bar perch and koncheskey and he needs time in the role The ideal situation would be Hill as a manager with Warnock as assistant , and les to carry on what he is doing I do get the feeling though that TF & LF have had a ding dong which is NW has been appointed Yes it's all farce but NW deserves a lot more respect than some of the stuff I've seen on here , If people are that annoyed with all of this why don't they grow some and start chanting for fernades to go it's his mistakes and stupidity that has got us into this
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

I will be honest. I have resisted looking at the kit after seeing Finney have a meltdown on Twitter about it. However, sign me up. What on earth is going on? Is this the same guys who rebranded the Football League the EPL forgetting that Welsh clubs competed. Absolute sacrilege Two chants now "We used to play in Hoops" for QPR and "We used to play in Green and White" for Norn Iron. FFS

That's clutching at straws a bit Jon.. All I've heard so far from posters who are trying to be positive about this latest situation,is " it cant be any worse than Ramsey's time". If it cant be any worse than Ramsey then why sack Ramsey?.

Do you mean because of Warnock getting the sack last time he was here.? Isnt Warnock mates with Redknapp? It did cross my mind that there's a bit of payback involved here, although it could be a little far fetched. Who knows?......

Maybe I'm being unfair on him. I wonder what the message board would be like if Ramsey appointed Blackwell. Maybe I would have given him more of a chance. Who knows.

Kevin Blackwell on 10:17 - Nov 13 with 2230 views | Burnleyhoop | The proof will be in the pudding, but this is hardly the new, hungry and dynamic approach we all envisaged. Hopefully it's very short term until Les comes up with a real gem of a manager, otherwise , the stock of Les Ferdinand as a QPR legend will forever be tarnished. Buckle up, turbulence ahead!

There was absolutely nothing wrong with that DVD. It helped induce 2 cruciates, 3 ankle-ligaments and a dislocated shoulder. I also got into a punch-up with the missus cos she wouldn't pass me the controls.

The question is why did they appoint Ramsey? When even the dogs on the street could see he was a man out of his depth ! That is the appointment to be angry about, not this one . Hopefully they'll get it right this time, Now THAT is clutching at straws !!

Kevin Blackwell on 18:17 - Nov 12 by VancouverHoop | Someone needs to get a grip on this clusterf*ck. We're still respectably mid-table, but that can change quickly – for the worse. Here's a very relevant comparison. Norwegian club Rosenborg won thirteen titles in row to 2004. Their long-time manager Nils Arne Eggen then retired, and his assistant was appointed manager. But Eggen returned as an "advisor" (sound familiar?) He then appointed two assistant managers (also has a familiar ring.) Twenty matches later Rosenborg were in the relegation zone. |
You think it'll take us that many matches? RFA
