When PNE player plays the ball, player is in an offside position, but he has to interfere or play the ball to be penalised, he doesn't.
QPR player deliberately plays the ball next, so then he can be where he likes.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Dykes get sent off here, sh1t ref and Preston’s diving and screaming are going to be all over him in second half.

No because he wasn't near the ball. From the first ball he wasn't offside anyway, he then got a knock so when we moved up he was in an offside position, if the 2nd ball had gone to him, of course he is offside, but then we played the ball so he can be where he likes. | | | |

Ok - no goals from us so far but this is a huge improvement on our last 6 games including that disaster against Burnley last weekend.
What is so uplifting is that the players are putting in 100% effort with their tackling, closing down, and breaking smartly.
Our loan players Laird and Tim are both playing 'for the badge' so to speak.
So all this is very encouraging - against 6th placed Preston - and that's regardless of the final outcome.
Yes of course when we're on top we must score but this effort is a big boost.
Whatever Critchley has said to the squad during the week seems to have hit home. | | | |

Despite the officials efforts, that was a solid half and with a slice of luck, we could be one or two goals up.
Much more desire and intensity shown, which is what was needed after the last couple of games. Not heaps of options off the bench but I would love to see Armstrong come on down the right to really go at their fullback with Laird, which could also pin their right winger back.

The ref is a homer and PNE are a physical side as usual. I too am worried Dykes will get a second yellow and I wouldn't be surprised to see Armstrong soon into the 2nd. If that happens we should play early through balls on the deck for him to run onto. |  | | |

More than likely unfortunately. Still, we are at least giving them a game, - unlike most of our recent gutless displays. We just can't hurt teams enough when on top, and that is going to be NC''s biggest challenge.Think we are going to end with ten men as well by the sounds of this ref. | | | |
