Mrs Bluce bought me some Gotoh locking tuners last year. I put them on a Harley Benton PRS copy but it was a PIECE OF SHIT. So I took them off (CHORE) and sold it (CHORE but not too bad as even though it was through Wigan, the guy was local).
Anyway, I bought an Ibanez AS53 (essentially a 335 copy but in a satin black finish) and it's become my go to guitar so I finally put the new tuners on it. Man, I can't go back to normal tuners now. Everything feels more stable and string changes are so much easier. You don't even really need to stretch them in. I put them on, tuned them, played for ten mins, re-tuned, left it over night and now they're solid as anything.
I did use some stuff called Big Bends Nut Sauce on the nut. It lubricates things and stops strings get snagged. Is meant to help with tuning stability also.
I know he's a nice guy and all that but it includes Eze. I'm sick of hearing about how well he's doing. Once Palace sell him and we get a cut of that, he'll be as irrelevant to me as any other player.
Why am I this way?
Well, despite going to some QPR games as a kid, my first season as a willing volunteer was 95/96. So I saw Trevor Sinclair tearing things up for us and generally being amazing (gutted I missed the Sinton era though). Anyway, he got sold for basically some Tesco Value magic beans and two of West Ham's worst players.
That's when I knew that we could never have nice things.
Mercifully, my mum wasn't that arsed about music back then (she's way more into it now). Of all the albums I remember her having, the only song that entertained me at all was this one.
I was lucky in that my brother and sister are older than me so I grew up listening to punk and new wave.
There's been a lot of talk of the fix being in for this one but I never put much stock in that. What's the current conspiracy theory on it?
I can see us having the wherewithal to organise it, I can't see Palace willingly shipping six, I can't see their keeper letting his resume include a 6-0 battering.
This might not count as country. I don't know. But I heard it the other day in a restaurant and had to Shazam it because it was good. Turns out it's a Sheryl Crow song. Hmm.
