Three-colour kits are a great idea. I really liked the Black-Red-Yellow vertical away kit Birmingham City had a while ago. Red-Black-Green hoops would be cool. |

I imagine it being the last game, carrying the risk of fans from both sides wanting to go on the pitch, decided the club against the split lower tier we've seen recently. Noticed that the Leeds fans there were behind the awning rather than allowed at the fence. |

Just to reinforce the final point, we were on 21 points after 27 games then. We’ve got 32 in 18 since, which is better than WDD every three games since. I had no confidence that could happen. |

Sinclair‘s shot saved brilliantly by Watford’s goalkeeper in the 96th minute. I thought, “we’re better organised, passing it around, but we’re still getting nothing. All the air is out of the new manager bounce. We’re doomed”.
Then a combination of a generous Millwall side, Kenny’s late equaliser at the very end of a stinker against Huddersfield, Nourry finding buried treasure to fund new signings and perhaps even a lucky scarf…it’s not been upwards and onwards, but we have reached targets that looked utterly improbable since then. |

Really, Southampton is worse?
I remember a clip long ago from the News Quiz where a serviceman had complained about a news description of Basra as being a busy port city similar to Southampton. He said, “it’s dirty, everything has been smashed up, the whores are ugly and the locals want to fight us. It’s more like Portsmouth.” |

I read that it it was the first time they had shipped four goals in the Championship for five years…when they beat Birmingham 5-4! Just spent an enjoyable 25 minutes listening to the Square Ball -Leeds United Podcast. Hardly mentioned us at all - though one said to another that the reason why opponents mysteriously have been raising their game against the Champions of Yurrup is because it’s the end of the season and they might want points themselves for some reason - but if, like me, you enjoy a cheap holiday in someone else’s misery, you’ll enjoy it. |
