Wartime, and a group of ex footballers are gathered by the RAF and assigned to knock out a German rocket fuel factory in Norway, which is part of the Nazi effort to launch rockets on England during D-day, by flying up a well-defended fjord at low level. 433 Squadron. |

It’s ungentlemanly conduct. Firmly believe that goalkeepers should be allowed to run out and kick them in the balls if they do this. |

And, if it came to it, bet they’d find somewhere to build a new stadium. |

Yes that’s very true, everything you said, I probably was harsh. I just think he’d be an even better player if he showed a bit more acknowledgment of players around him and I wonder if that is an attitude issue. |

That’s a good point. That thing of not coming out on through balls would get most keepers a much bigger bollocking from the CB’s than actually happens, suggests they have faith in him generally. Also, in my head, when he’s presented with one on one situations he seems to save a lot more than most keepers. Doesn’t drop too early and spreads himself well. Smithies was good at that but apart from him, probably the best over the last decade. He is getting on but if he can teach the kid who played yesterday these techniques then I’m not opposed to another season. |

I’ve had my fill of ‘bad attitude’. This club is finally showing signs of an upturn. To maintain that you don’t need players who’s mind rather than their ability determines the performance you get on the pitch. Dunne, Cook, JCS, Paal .. good attitude. Field, Colback.. good attitude Andersen.. good attitude Chair.. possible ‘attitude’ but channelled mostly correctly Bench.. Fox, Smyth, Cannon .. good attitude In effect we’re only short of 2-3 outfield positions who are good enough at this level and with the right attitude. Move Willock on, one less set of mind games to think about. |

You know when you’re feeling really unwell, your head over the loo, feels like eight years you’ve been stuck there and you know you’ll be back there again in an hour or so. And then that visit, the final visit, it’s horrendous, but your head comes up and something in your body sends a realisation through you that it’s finally over. You get back off your knees relieved, thankful almost forgetting that it happened and life seems good again. 8th Jan, 2024. The last of the virus had announced its departure. The last 4 months have been a joy. And thank you Gareth Ainsworth. The medicine no one asked for but thank you for your part in flushing the illness out, I’m not sure it would ever have gone otherwise. Oh and giving us Steve Cook and Jack Colback. |

Losing Marti would be a concern but I’m not so concerned now the triumvirate of clown princes running the show have all finally been run out of the club. We will still be associated with that rabble for a while yet and you’d imagine Marti will be bumping into football associates all telling him if any job can kill his career long term it’s this one. But if losing him becomes inevitable, so long as the people at the top keep shape (it’s a long shot admittedly) then overtime the curse will be forgotten and the club can move forward. |

They’ve amassed about 200 points over two seasons, that ever been equalled before? |

Palace probably better on the basis we had to get a result whereas we could have lost to Leeds and still got ourselves out of trouble. Conversely, Leeds had something serious to play for, Palace didn’t. Thinking about it, not sure you can compare the two, both exciting games though! |

Ipswich almost there |

Yeah but think about the damage we could cause next season, unloading Tyler on a fellow Championship side at a critical moment. Dozzell situation has been one of the highlights of the year. Sometimes it’s best to keep your powder dry. |
