Che Adams for sale £10 million 10:57 - May 14 with 1227 viewsCenturion

Apparently Saints willing to sell Che for a cut price £10 million.

Seems like things have gone wrong there.

More to do with clubs trying to get players cheaply due to the current situation

We really shouldn’t be selling him.

I’d sell him. For whatever reason he’s been really poor in his time down here.

I agree with Pat, Che Adams had some good games for us all he lacked was a goal

He did look good early on before his confidence disappeared. He is the sort of player that would leave and go on to do really well somewhere else.
The skate game was his most disappointing performance I think.

To be fair to the lad, he hasn't done any worse for us than Carrillo.

He had his best chance to score, just 2 mins into his debut at Burnley. Had he scored that, he would have been a totally different player than the one that lacks any sort of confidence today.

Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise for us that he did not score, as it meant that Ings then got the starting berth up front and has gone on to be not only our top scorer, but at one stage was top English scorer in the Prem.

I'd definitely keep Adams and give him some opportunities in the coming season though. I'm sure Ralph will manage to get something out of him eventually.

Totally agree and he has chipped in with a few assists.

Can we really judge him based on his appearances with us thus far? Just saying like.....

So apparently we agreed a fee of 19 million (how??) with Leeds in January but Ralph decided he wanted to keep him. Makes those 4 sub appearances since then look expensive. I suppose he was useful backup for Ings, particularly if the season had gone pear-shaped. He offers something different to Obafemi.

If we're going to get rid of him now, I guess we must have a replacement lined up.

Poll: Where do you hope to see Salisu start (OK, I know we haven't seen him yet)?

I agree with you Pat.

I don't why I sometimes think I can sense something when I don't know the person at all or anything that goes on behind the scenes, but I sort of sense that he does not want to be at Saints perhaps because of his own frustrations and lack of game time. But, I could be hugely wide of the mark. I do think there is a good player there though and if he goes somewhere else I just feel it will come back and bite us.

The thing is we have absolutely no idea what the truth of the situation is other than he was still a Southampton player after the last transfer window when a lot of rumours were telling us he was off. I would suggest that we only worry about him leaving when he actually leaves.

I think Saints, along with a few other clubs will be selling rather than buying when the transfer window opens, as for the fee, its going to be a buyers market.

There is going to be a vast shortfall in clubs income and they will need to recover what they can.
